Abe Lincoln looks down in approval
DC's stranglehold on its subjects just got
a little tighter:
The US government can order the killing of American citizens even when there is no active intelligence accusing them of carrying out a specific terrorist attack, according to a confidential Justice Department legal memo obtained by NBC News.
The memo, or “white paper,” concludes that assassinations of American citizens are legal if the US government says they are “senior operational leaders” or al-Qaeda or “an associated force.” The Executive Branch can keep this information secret though, and no checks or balances from other branches of government are necessary.
The bottom line is that DC has given itself even more latitude in bypassing the bother of a trial. It can zap you for just about any reason - and doesn't have to explain a damn thing to anyone.
So - what's considered "an associated force" of al-Qaeda? Osama bin Laden often stated he and his followers were angered by
DC's one-sided support of Israel. Would opposition to taxpayer-supported subsidies of Israel constitute an "association" with al-Qaeda? What if such opposition was expressed not in a letter the editor, but by lobbying members of Congress? Or by contributing to an antiwar organization?
How long would he be safe if
Mark Twain were alive and satirizing today?
One thing we do know that's been murdered by DC, and that's freedom.

You do understand that this does not mean in the US, but in foreign countries where they are working with the enemy.
Yessir, we do understand that. We further understand that the Feds NEVER resist expanding a new power or program. Or perhaps you can offer an example otherwise. - Dutchy
