Real Americans want war with Syria!
Call it imperial symbiosis. The coalition of big business and the left wants open borders. The rich can never get enough cheap, exploitable labor, and the left despises traditional America. So both support unlimited Third-World immigration. Big business has cozied up to the central government, too, knowing well that fat subsidies and a market for war materiel flow from an aggressive centralized government. War is the glue that keeps both coalitions together. This story about Syrian immigrants in Charlotte, NC, illustrates that point perfectly:
Syrian Americans living in Charlotte watched President Obama's speech Tuesday night and many were hoping they would hear him take stronger action against the Syrian regime. Mo Idibby and his family watched the speech from their home in northeast Charlotte and afterwards said they still felt that a targeted military strike was called for against Syria’s President Assad, who has already used chemical weapons against his own people. “What’s the message we are sending to the world? It’s OK to kill thousands of people with other types of weapons?” Idibby asked.I can recall when the word "American" conjured up images of colonial settlers, frontiersmen, and cowboys. But these days, the immigrant--the more exotic, the better--is supposed to represent the "real American." And no matter what part of the world DC wants to pummel, it's easy to find immigrants from the area who have a score to settle with the government of the old home country. Even better, once the missiles have flown, and the targeted country's been turned into another hellhole, it's our moral obligation to accept even more immigrants from that country. Everybody wins! Well, everybody who counts.
