Such an oath isn't even intended to be exclusively Christian. It's simply appealing to a higher power, whatever the person believes in.How does one have any values outside faith, even a fuzzy Deism? The Europeans claim they develop morals from evolution and genetics, but my conclusion from that is they're no longer taught to think over there anymore than we are here. In reaction to Islam, they embrace atheism.Regardless, this oath change is in the US. I wonder what the "religious" Latinos and blacks think of this. Does this progress represent them? Do they even care? (probably not).
Articles of confederation requires no oath in many instances.. second real southerns really don't care less what the metizos and ferals think .. Third the original so called constitution was taken over .. and forth jesus said no oaths ... and fifth , because of the loss of sovereignty bc of that ridiculous constitution that hasn't been holding up , being used by the left for their agenda and the so called right using it for their agenda which is being systematically taken apart anyways they aren't held accountable at all because the missing real thirteenth amendment states that NO Titles of NOBILITY are exceptable , why because they are ABOVE the law at all times and it takes mountains and ice to get them into trouble . Common law has been being replaced as quickly as possible using varies ruses and tactics by evil empire and unknown southern dumbies who support them ...Dixie knows full well when they see statutes disappearing and its own people being raped again through varies tactics stealing the will ... and replacing the peoples .. And if its not intended for a most christian philosophy which most understand it who do mean well by it , then it is the more dangerous ... IT Should be at least INTENDED to be christian as possible ... NO other form of oath would be welcomed in that sense. If not one is not christian or at least the philosophical belief cant be at least a meeting ground then that person is really of no use even being part of the south and its common law of the people and its legal terms. Have a nice dixie day , dixie will always believe in god , and more christian then the other jew states of america ...
Anon,The US federal government historically was fairly Deist to my knowledge. Most of the Founders weren't Christian, and Treaty of Tripoli comes to mind (google it to see it at wiki) reading "Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion".Now, I'm not arguing the US is not Christian. Clearly it is. But the oaths, as I understand it, tend to be more abstract. I could be wrong.
