In 1587, Virginia Dare became the first child of English parents born in North America.

I note in this connection, that some blogger commented that the North is older than the South. Apparently, Yankee propaganda has done its job well in convincing people to believe such easily debunked nonsense.

Not only was the lost colony of North Carolina founded first, but Jamestowne was founded before Plymouth Rock too.

The problem is that Yankees only know Yankee history, if even that much.
