CDC Confirms Patient In Dallas Has The Ebola Virus

Pity the people of Dallas. The city is infested with chikungunya and ebola, and Ed Sebesta continues to live there. Are these people to be spared nothing? Stay tuned.

Equality is deadly

There has been no ideology with a bloodier history than that of human equality. From the Paris Terror, the killing fields of the Khmer Rouge, and the Iraq War, this inhuman and unnatural doctrine has justified mass murder like no other belief system.

Neuroscience, educational statistics, and just plain common sense tell us people are not equal, but it's the official ideology of the current DC ruling elite. So we have to pretend that all people are equal. That policy is the reason a deranged intruder recently penetrated farther into the White House than anyone has managed before:

The man, 42-year-old Omar J. Gonzalez, ran unobstructed for 70 yards across the front lawn of the White House before entering through the North Portico. On the way, he brushed by a Secret Service officer with a drawn gun, sources tell CBS News' Bill Plante.

Gonzalez then proceeded to run through the entrance hall to the cross hall of the White House, past the staircase that leads up to the first family's residence. He was confronted by a female Secret Service agent, who he overpowered, and made it all the way to the East Room...
Women should not be cops, soldiers, or guards. I don't care how much training a woman has, she cannot overpower the average man. Martial arts DO NOT equalize people of different body mass and strength. I've taken judo and karate, and in every tournament I've been in, contestants of equal skill levels are still grouped by weight and sex. 200-pound men do not spar with 100-pound women.

But that's how the real world operates. In The Emerald City of DC, different rules apply. And those rules will continue to spawn chaos and waste and tragedy. Hopefully, there'll be a few humorous incidents along the way.

Is Scottish secession finished?

Try telling that to the Scots, who are more fired up than ever:

In one week, more than 35,000 people have joined the SNP, making the nationalists the third-largest party in the United Kingdom. Demand to join the SNP has been so great that the party's website crashed over the weekend. An emergency hotline has been set up and a dedicated team assigned to cope with the numbers seeking to join.

Our "Two-Party" System at Work

Obama's Secretary of Defense is making the case for expanding Iraq Invasion number 3 (known by its inials "IIIII") by sending in ground troops. The Neocons are slobbering in anticipation, and the arms industry has dollar signs in its eyes.

So where's the opposition party? Here's House Speaker John Boehner:

House Speaker John Boehner said Sunday the U.S. may ultimately “have no choice” but to send combat troops to take on the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS/ISIL), contending that relying on airstrikes will not be enough to defeat the terrorists.

“If the goal is to destroy ISIS, as the president says it is, I don’t believe the strategy that he outlined will accomplish that,” Boehner said on ABC’s “This Week.”
Boehner's objection is that Obama's not rushing into Iraq fast enough. In other words, there is no opposition party when it comes to war. What have we accomplished in the eleven years of war so far? The ONLY things we have to show are billions wasted, thousands crippled, and the rise of the Department of Homeland Security, "indefinite detention," the increased militarization of the police, and citizen surveillance.

And here we are waging another war that can only expand and intensify those horrors because the Chicken Littles are screaming that ISIS is going to behead us all. God help us.

Beheading suspect "felt oppressed at work"

Any time a minority says he's been oppressed on the job, the issue is settled: His White co-workers are clearly guilty. So Alton Nolen, aka Jah'Keem Yisrael, aka the Okie Al Qaeda, was probably justified in beheading one of his co-workers. But two? That may have been overreaching on his part, so we are allowed to debate whether he should be punished for that.

None of which diminishes his status as a victim, however.

Hong Kong protests

The pictures of thousands of people standing up to their repressive government are enough to make your heart skip a beat. From CNN:

Thousands of pro-democracy protesters remained camped out on major highways in the heart of Hong Kong on Monday, defying government attempts to both coerce and cajole them into giving up their extraordinary demonstration.

The protests have brought widespread disruption to the heart of one of Asia's biggest financial centers, blocking traffic on multilane roads and prompting the suspension of school classes.

CNN's Ivan Watson, at the scene, described it as a "sea of humanity," the biggest crowd he had witnessed since protests began last week.

"The young people -- predominantly 21, 22 years old -- have been chanting out here, repeating the word 'hah toih,' meaning 'resign,'" Watson said, against a backdrop of chanting and waving cellphones.
The Chinese Communist Party insists on appointing officials in Hong Kong, while the people there demand elections. It isn't all that different here, where the central government overrules the people of the States who resist DC's mandates on same-sex "marriage," immigration control, and affirmative action. Both the Chinese and US regimes pose as liberators, but are in fact autocrats who care for nothing but maintaining their own power.

The big difference is that the people of Hong Kong are doing something about it.

The Economic Causes of the War Between the States

The North Carolina War Between the States Sesquicentennial site has a new web page you'll definitely want to check out and bookmark. It explodes the myth about Lincoln's purported war of liberation, and demonstrates that the WBTS was just another clash over money and power, just like every other war.

This is history with critical present-day relevance. The defenders of the DC Empire, both left and Neocon, rely on the Lincoln Myth to justify the central government's ongoing domestic and global interventions. When we manage to pull back the curtains on the falsehood the Empire rests on, we will expose this fraudulent regime for what it is, an authoritarian bully.

DC's latest quagmire

We can appreciate just what a massive blunder Obama has stumbled into by contemplating a couple of stories out of Iraq. A sceptical and war-weary public will have no patience for a long, costly, and pointless struggle. So this headline is surely unwelcome news: Pentagon: ISIL war could last ‘years.’ How many years? Who knows?

But this second story reveals just how lunatic DC's foreign policy really is:

The U.S has hit 41 Humvees since attacks began in August, according to data from United States Central Command.

The U.S. is sending $30,000-bombs to eliminate these armored vehicles, which cost about a quarter of a million dollars each depending what it is equipped with, according to Todd Harrison, a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments.

The U.S. Defense Department confirmed the targets to CNN. "In some cases, we have seen instances of ISIL capturing and employing U.S.-made equipment," said a spokesperson. "When we've seen these terrorists employing this equipment, we've sought to eliminate that threat."
The Iraqi Army we created from scratch and financed and trained not only failed to stop ISIL's fighters, but bequeathed them millions of dollars of US assets. So the threat the Defense Department spokesman boasted about eliminating was one that we created.

Idiots. We're being led by idiots.

Rejecting diversity, and racial and religious equality: The scary message behind secession movements

Scary title, huh? But that's how Todd Brewster paints the trend away from large countries based on conquest and the resurgence of small nation-states. To Brewster, the idea of peoples around the world freely choosing their political associations is repugnant. But the most striking feature of his article is how he treats "equality" and "diversity" as values whose goodness are so self-evident that they cannot even be questioned. He does not bother to argue why or how they trump other political goals, and apparently believes he does not need to. He's certainly right about one thing: They are indeed threatened by the rise of self-determination movements:

Ironically, this modern day trend towards secession casts a dark light on another principle dear to Americans. In seeking to re-organize along ethnic and religious terms, the world is in effect rejecting pluralism, diversity and racial equality. Scot divides from Brit; Catalan from Spaniard; Russian from Ukrainian; Sunni from Shia. All the post-Cold War excitement about an end to ideology, about an Internet democratizing the globe, about the end of frontiers – all of that now seems like little more than a naïve expression of historical optimism.
Of course, racial equality does not exist anywhere on the planet, as the most militant proponents of equality will agree. There's always more to be done, and the ideologues who agitate for equality know that only a centralized, all-powerful government can enact the programs they demand - even though they never work. Diversity, however, most certainly exists in such places as the Balkans, Iraq, and Somalia, and the peoples who live there yearn to escape from it. As Harvard sociologist Robert Putnam reluctantly concluded from years of study, diversity degrades community spirit and social trust, the foundations of self-government. Destroy those, and you create an artificial anarchy that only a powerful and authoritarian government can control - which is the very reason the ruling elite wants to impose diversity on us in the first place.

Scotland had the right to secede? Interesting

Christine Barr points out one big positive of the Scottish independence vote that many have overlooked:

One interesting angle on the recent vote in Scotland, which has been largely ignored by the mainstream media, is the utter absence of analysis of the issue involving secession.

Even those who were most adamantly urging a “no” vote did not deny Scotland the right to decide its own fate.

What a contrast to strident Unionists in this country, who vehemently deny that the South, or Vermont, or any of the many factions in this country seeking independence, past or present, have the right to determine their governmental fate.

England didn’t threaten to send troops, or state that having in 1707 agreed to the complete joining of the two countries, Scotland had lost its right to autonomy.

No, while they were certainly anxious about the election, there were no military threats or cries of treason. What a contrast to the handling of our Late Unpleasantness.

It is interesting to note the arguments against independence, and who made them.

George Soros said it would be a blow “to the prevailing international order.” Well, that makes one wonder: Is the current international order something worth preserving?
Yes, we wouldn't want to upset George Soros, now would we? If he says things are hunkey-dorey, then we mustn't rock the boat.

Quote of the day

"Our government has kept us in a perpetual state of fear — kept us in a continuous stampede of patriotic fervor — with the cry of grave national emergency. Always there has been some terrible evil at home or some monstrous foreign power that was going to gobble us up if we did not blindly rally behind it" Douglas MacArthur, 1957

And the empire hasn't changed since MacArthur's time.

Unclear on the concept

Marchers in New York demanded protection for the environment this weekend, but left behind huge piles of garbage in the streets.

Scotland's Vote Settles Nothing

The ruling elite, their subservient media, and the left are cackling with joy over the failed Scottish independence referendum. Prime Minister Cameron even crowed that the rejection of self-government was the "settled will" of the Scottish people.

Well, he's wrong.

Let's not forget that the monster known as "Great Britain" was a creation of English imperialists and Scottish sell-outs. It was the home base for the once-mighty British Empire, with the English in London calling the shots and reaping in the wealth and glory, while the Scots and Irish did the fighting and bleeding to forge that empire. But the old empire ain't what it used to be. Ireland, India, South Africa, and many other jewels in the imperial crown are gone forever. And a bit of analysis of the Scottish vote reveals motivations that will make Scottish self-government a hot issue again:

According to a poll taken alongside the referendum, 70 percent of those voting for independence thought "the principle that all decisions about Scotland should be taken in Scotland" was the most important factor; only 20 percent said they gave most weight to "on balance, Scotland's future looked brighter as an independent country." Compare that with the other side. Of those voting for the union, 47 percent said the risks of separation were the main reason to stay; only 27 percent said "a strong attachment to the U.K. and its shared history, culture and traditions" counted most. It's as you would expect, maybe, but nonetheless worth noting: Strength of conviction rests heavily on the independence side.
That's a dramatic split in outlook. The "No" campaign was forced to resort to fear, while the "Yes" forces were driven by optimistic nationalism. And those who gloated that last week's vote failed to scratch a new border line in Europe forget that the Scottish parliament will soon enjoy sweeping new powers of taxation and regulation that will effectively make "Great Britain" a devolved confederacy. Other areas, including England, will clamor for similar powers.

So it ain't over. Not by a long shot.

Scotland Independence: Vote Rigging Caught on Video

How do you keep a feeble, decayed empire together when there's a referendum on self-government? Cheating is one way:

Quote of the day

"I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference anymore which political party is running things. Nothing gets done. The state would be better off handling things on its own." Roy Gustafson, 61, of Camden, South Carolina.

Angry with Washington, 1 in 4 Americans open to secession

You can almost hear the collective sigh of relief from the globalists and leftists over the news of the failed Scottish referendum on self-government. But independence movements live on, and must. Here in the DC Empire, popular disgust for the regime's illegal citizen surveillance, perpetual wars, and demographic upheaval guarantee interest in reclaiming self-determination will endure and grow. And yes, the Scottish referendum did have an impact here, as this Reuters article reveals:

The failed Scottish vote to pull out from the United Kingdom stirred secessionist hopes for some in the United States, where almost a quarter of people are open to their states leaving the union, a new Reuters/Ipsos poll found.

Some 23.9 percent of Americans polled from Aug. 23 through Sept. 16 said they strongly supported or tended to support the idea of their state breaking away, while 53.3 percent of the 8,952 respondents strongly opposed or tended to oppose the notion.

The urge to sever ties with Washington cuts across party lines and regions, though Republicans and residents of rural Western states are generally warmer to the idea than Democrats and Northeasterners, according to the poll.
As more people organize to free themselves from DC, look for the regime to undercut them by importing more immigrants to sow disunity, and to terrorize the population with bogeymen that only the all-powerful central government can save them from. Keep your eyes on the headlines, and keep your powder dry.

Sebesta bait

From a Reuters article entitled "Scottish independence vote cheers supporters of Texas secession":

The upcoming vote to decide whether Scotland should be independent of the United Kingdom has bolstered those campaigning to split the state of Texas from the United States.

Texas Nationalist Movement president Daniel Miller, who wants the state's legislature to put the secession question on a statewide ballot, said Scotland's Sept. 18 referendum is a good sign for his movement.

"If Scotland can do it, so can Texas," Miller said.

The top U.S. cattle- and oil-producing state would be the 12th largest economy in the world, larger than Mexico or Spain, said Miller, whose organization has campaigned for secession since the late 1990s.
Consider: Both Scotland and Texas were once free, independent nations. Both resisted domination. And today, one sees the success of the other as inspirational. As Mr. Miller says, whether Scotland votes to secede or to win greater autonomy within the Union (something British Prime Minister David Cameron has already pledged), patriots of nationless peoples around the world will be spurred on by Scotland's example. Pentagon: US ground troops may join Iraqis in combat against Isis

Hey, Obama, can you say "Mission Creep"? I knew you could.

Another reason for Scotland to secede

David Frum doesn't want the Scots to govern themselves. You remember Frum, don't you? He's the whiny little Neocon who hates the South and once smeared conservatives who opposed the illegal and counter-productive invasion of Iraq as "unpatriotic." (Because the definition of "conservatism" is blind obedience to the Commander in chief, you see.)

It's no surprise this girly-man disapproves of Scottish independence. His rationale? It would harm "American interests" by diminishing Britain's "contribution to global security." London has long depended on Scottish pluck to fight its wars, and the Scots have had enough. The union of England and Scotland was the foundation of the British Empire. Well guess what, Frum? That empire is no more. Ceased to be. Changing circumstances require changing political arrangements, and Scottish independence recognizes that the imperial project is shattered and cannot be patched back together.

I hope Frum's shrill, schoolmarmish sermon to vote "No" incites the thrawn Scots to do the opposite.

Sean Connery on Scottish Independence

The world's most famous Scot has something to say about his homeland taking its place among the nations of the world:

I fully respect that the choice facing Scotland on 18 September is a matter for the people who choose to work and live there – that is only right and proper. But as a Scot and as someone with a lifelong love for both Scotland and the arts, I believe the opportunity of independence is too good to miss.

Simply put – there is no more creative an act than creating a new nation.
Either way the Scots vote this Thursday, we're going to see new life in independence movements around the world.

We need greater racial solidarity

Ex-mayor Pat Cannon is awaiting sentencing for bribery, but Murphy and Richards are convinced Cannon was the victim of a “deliberate plot” to frame him. Just think, if Charlotte's Blacks had rallied around their mayor, he could still be doing the job he was elected to do, which is to prevent White conservatives from organizing.

Lindsey Graham: We need troops to fight Islamic State ‘before we all get killed here at home’

Li'l Lindsey is hitting the panic button again. This vile little man simply cannot be happy unless the U.S. is pulverizing people. Obama's plan to wage a war by remote control just isn't enough, so Graham has to resort to old-fashioned fear mongering:

"It is our fight. It is not just their fight. This is a radical Islamic army that is pushing the theory of a master religion, not a master race like the Nazis. ... It's about protecting millions of people throughout the world. ... They're intending to come here. So I will not let this president suggest to the American people we can outsource our security and this is not about our safety. Our strategy will fail yet again. This president needs to rise to the occasion before we all get killed here at home.""
Yes, we're all going to be beheaded if Obama doesn't save us by occupying Iraq. When will the people of South Carolina send this squealing embarrassment packing?

Despite Obama’s Pledge to Curb It, NSA Mass Surveillance Wins Rubber Stamp

This shouldn't surprise anyone:

In the face of congressional inaction, a federal court on Friday renewed an order allowing the government to collect phone records on virtually all calls within the United States.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court approved the Justice Department's request for another 90-day extension of the National Security Agency's controversial mass surveillance program, exposed publicly last summer by Edward Snowden and authorized under Section 215 of the post-9/11 Patriot Act. The spying authority is next set to expire on Dec. 5.
After all, we know that presidents lie. Pathological deception is the number one skill set for the position. So Obama the "peacenik" can assume war-making powers that would've made Johnson, Nixon, and even W the Conqueror green with envy.

So it's no big deal that Obama the constitutional scholar and leftist community organizer would expand citizen surveillance. And no one who reads this blog should be surprised that one agency of the central government would okay the acts of another federal agency.

The notion that voters have the final word, or that their elected representatives are answerable to the people are just illusions. It's all part of herding the people into the D.C. corral.

Catalans rally for independence referendum from Spain

The Scottish independence vote is firing up people all over the world. No matter how the vote goes, the old megastates will never be the same. Check out this massive demonstration in Catalonia (and don't miss the glorious pictures!).

Thousands of Catalans have rallied in Barcelona, Spain, demanding the right to hold a referendum on independence.

Participants, waving Catalan flags and wearing the flag's red and yellow colours, stood in a V-shape formation, indicating their desire for a vote.

Protesters were energised by Scotland's forthcoming independence referendum - and many also waved the Scottish flag.

Obama’s Breathtaking Expansion of a President’s Power To Make War

Now even Obama's supporters are questioning his assertion that he can launch a war without Congressional approval. And it's interesting how the housebroken right's only criticism of Obama's war plans is that they're not "big" enough - no mention is made of this latest assumption of war powers by the Chief Executive.

So while the right cheers on imperial power to make war, the left demands more imperial power to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. You know where this will lead, don't you? Eventually we'll have achieved the ideal of "one man, one vote."

U.S. threatened massive fine to force Yahoo to release data

How corrupt is the U.S. government? This corrupt:

The U.S. government threatened to fine Yahoo $250,000 a day in 2008 if it failed to comply with a broad demand to hand over user data that the company believed was unconstitutional, according to court documents unsealed Thursday that illuminate how federal officials forced American tech companies to participate in the NSA’s controversial PRISM program.

The documents, roughly 1,500 pages worth, outline a secret and ultimately unsuccessful legal battle by Yahoo to resist the government’s demands. The company’s loss required Yahoo to become one of the first companies to begin providing information to PRISM, a program that gave the National Security Agency extensive access to records of online communications by users of Yahoo and other U.S.-based technology firms.

“The released documents underscore how we had to fight every step of the way to challenge the U.S. Government’s surveillance efforts,” said company General Counsel Ron Bell in a Tumblr post published Thursday afternoon.

The program, which was discontinued in 2011, was first revealed by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden last year, prompting intense backlash and a wrenching national debate over allegations of overreach in government surveillance.
And the defenders of the Empire, from the Lizard King to neo-neocon to The Other McCain, gnash their teeth at Snowden for being "unpatriotic."

The American fear-mongering machine is about to scare us back into war again

The best summary of Obama's executive decision to attack Iraq for the third time comes from the Onion:

Previewing tonight’s televised prime-time address to the nation, White House aides confirmed that President Obama will reassure Americans that the impending military campaign against ISIS will be the exact same type of open-ended, drawn-out conflict that they are used to. “The president recognizes that citizens may be uneasy about this operation, and that’s why he will use tonight’s speech to comfort the American public by reminding them that they have been through armed engagements without clear end dates or even concrete objectives plenty of times before, and that this case is no different,” said senior White House advisor Daniel Pfeiffer.
The Onion, which is supposed to be a satire site, nails it - Obama announced no strategy last night. He offered no timetable, no stated goal by which we could recognize victory, no indication how he intends to make the Iraqi armed forces do their job. There was nothing in his speech but "air strikes."

And all this because of a vague threat to the US? What threat? Here's what the experts tell us about the ISIS threat:

Did you know that the US government’s counterterrorism chief Matthew Olson said last week that there’s no “there’s no credible information” that the Islamic State (Isis) is planning an attack on America and that there’s “no indication at this point of a cell of foreign fighters operating in the United States”? Or that, as the Associated Press reported, “The FBI and Homeland Security Department say there are no specific or credible terror threats to the US homeland from the Islamic State militant group”?
Two American journalists get killed IN SYRIA, and public opinion does a 180 on another intervention? C'mon! There are far more dangerous places for Americans in the world. Here's one:

More Americans have been murdered in Mexico than in any other part of the world in the past decade.

According to an Agence France Press analysis of U.S. State Department figures, at least 648 American citizens were murdered in Mexico between October 2002 and December 2012. This represents more than 40 percent of the almost 1,600 American victims worldwide over the same period. ...

To put the number of American murders in Mexico in perspective, more U.S. citizens were murdered in Mexico than were killed in “terrorist action” around the world, according to the AFP. The analysis by the major newswire calculated those deaths at 300 since October 2002.
So when do we attack Mexico? I guess Hermann Goering was right:

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

Scotland's future in Scotland's hands

Here's a powerful and stirring pro-independence message from the "Yes!" campaign:

Free Scotland, Free New England!

No matter how the Scottish independence vote goes, things will never be the same. London is now in full panic mode, blubbering "Don't leave me, honey, I'll treat you better! Honest!" So even if the English Supremacists in Scotland win, Scotland will be granted considerably more autonomy, effectively turning the UK into a confederacy. That's still a win for decentralization.

And of course, folks on this side of the pond can't help but imagine how smaller, human-scaled political units would solve a lot of problems. From the Huffington Post, of all places:

Obama later staked his presidency on finding areas of common ground -- and failed. The U.S. is more bitterly divided today by political culture, ideology, and region than at any time since the Civil War.

Maybe it makes sense to divide America into one country that respects science and levies taxation to support public goods, and another country of Biblical literalism and hatred of government. The progressive states of the northeast, the upper Midwest, and west coast, which send a lot of net dollars to subsidize the government-hating heartland, would save a bundle, and could establish the policies that most of their citizens want.
Congress is gridlocked these days precisely because of the deep divisions between the Southern and Western Red States, and the Northeastern and Left-Coast Blues. Devolution will enable everyone to tackle their problems with policies the local population can support. Now that would be progress.

Voters Strongly Oppose Obama's Amnesty Plan for Illegal Immigrants

That's not my headline - that's the conclusion of the analysts at Rasmussen regarding their latest poll results on illegal immigration:

Most voters oppose President Obama's reported plan to unilaterally grant amnesty to several million illegal immigrants and think Congress should challenge him in court if he goes ahead with it

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 62% of Likely U.S. Voters oppose the president granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants without the approval of Congress. Just 26% are in favor of Obama's plan, while 12% are undecided.

Only 24% think the president has the legal authority to grant amnesty to these illegal immigrants without Congress’ approval. Fifty-seven percent (57%) believe the president does not have the legal right to do so. Eighteen percent (18%) are undecided.
I wonder how leftists, who claim to uphold the sacredness of democracy and majority rule, will react to this? My bet is that they'll say a majority White electorate is undemocratic, and should be ignored. Just wait and see if I'm right.

Culture Trend? Government Now the Villain in Pop Teen Movies & Books

Back in the late 20th century, "government" was a force for good. Cinema portrayed it as the good guy who swooped in to save oppressed, angelic minorities from eeeeevil White Southerners. But lately, movies such as "The Giver," "Divergent," and "The Hunger Games" (my favorite!) portray big government as the oppressor, often a self-serving and brutal one. These movies are very popular with young people. Is the culture changing to favor political liberty?

Here are two recent headlines that reveal where these negative attitudes toward big government are coming from:

Independence vote pulls ahead in Scotland

Now I'm getting excited. For the first time, a poll shows the pro-independence campaign ahead of the Unionists. From The Scotsman:

THE YES CAMPAIGN is ahead in the Scottish referendum battle for the first time, according to a poll, amid signs of infighting among senior figures backing the union.

The YouGov research for the Sunday Times found 51% supported independence, compared to 49% who wanted to remain in the UK.

The results are the latest evidence of a dramatic surge for the Yes Scotland campaign, which has seen the gap between the sides - once regularly in double digits - vanish in a matter of months.

The YouGov poll showed the Yes vote increasing by four points, while No dropped by the same number.
So when do WE get to vote?

Prime Minister David Cameron must REALLY be afraid the Scots will vote for self-determination. Not only is he resorting to scare tactics, but he's spouting pure nonsense in a clumsy attempt to frighten Scots into rejecting self-rule:

David Cameron today warned that Scotland would be more at risk from terrorism if it votes for independence.

The Prime Minister said the United Kingdom had the best security and intelligence services in the world to keep people safe.

He said the safety of staying together in a ‘very dangerous and insecure world’ was one of the ‘strongest arguments’ against separation.
Boy, is Cameron desperate! Where was the "best security and intelligence services in the world" when Muslim terrorists bombed the London subway, killing 52 and wounding 700? And don't forget - it was the British government that imported those murderers and then ignited their anger by invading Iraq.

And speaking of importing Muslim terrorists, let's not overlook small-scale terror committed by Muslim immigrants, who not only recently beheaded an elderly lady, but managed to murder a British soldier in broad daylight. Anyone who doesn't believe Muslim immigrants are a hostile and alien population should ask one of the 1,400 girls brutalized and exploited by Pakistani immigrants in Rotherham.

Scots should vote for independence just to separate themselves from lunatics like David Cameron.

Federal judge strikes down traditional marriage laws

Unlike authoritarian governments in Muslim and communist countries, the people of the States are sovereign in the United States of America. So what they enact into law is the final word - unless they get it wrong, and then a judge helps them get it right. It's kinda like how Abraham Lincoln had to, um, "guide" the Southern people to realize the true meaning of the Constitution their grandfathers had ratified.

The latest example of this is in Indiana and Wisconsin, where the people of the States were so obviously wrong, the panel of overseers UNANIMOUSLY agreed to strike down laws protecting traditional marriage:

A unanimous panel of federal judges in Chicago ruled Thursday that laws banning same-sex marriage in Indiana and Wisconsin are unconstitutional, becoming the third appeals court to rule that gay couples must be allowed to marry.

The lengthy, often sarcastic ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit said the states could not justify denying marriage to homosexuals, who it said are “among the most stigmatized, misunderstood and discriminated-against minorities in the history of the world.”

“The grounds advanced by Indiana and Wisconsin for their discriminatory policies are not only conjectural; they are totally implausible,” wrote Circuit Judge Richard Posner.
Certain reactionary types will protest that the people of the sovereign States never ceded authority over marriage to the central government, publicly admitting to an antiquated view of the Constitution. And housebroken conservatives will urge calm and remind their brethren of the importance of electing good conservatives who will appoint good judges.

The only problem is that Judge Posner was a Reagan appointee. Yes, Saint Ronald of Reagan, that great "conservative." Oh, and pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

This day in history

In 1836, The Republic of Texas made miltary hero Sam Houston its first president.

Kristol rides again!

Ugh. Despite a couple of years of growing public opposition to DC's perpetual wars, the National Security State is at it again, revving its engines in Iraq (again) and possibly Syria. The driving force is a bogeyman called ISIS, the latest reincarnation of Hitler determined to enslave us all. And Bill Kristol, who cheered and prodded the country into supporting W the Conqueror's invasion of Iraq, is behind Obama's conversion to the War Party.

So this is a good time to recall the evil ideology that birthed the entire Neocon agenda, from the bloody invasion of Iraq, to the Department of Homeland Security, to "indefinite detention" of American citizens under the National Defense Authorization Act:

When put in the context of Marxist dialectics, the neoconservative ideology quickly becomes a plucky mix of visionary revolution and bloodlust. Irving Kristol himself was once a member of the “Workers’ Party”—a Trotsky-influenced political group. In his Neoconservatism: The Autobiography of an Idea, Kristol admits to being “lucky to have been a young Trotskyite and I have not a single bitter memory.”

The original neoconservative was far from alone in his reverence for the man who died under Stalin’s ice pick. As neocon Seymour Martin Lipset once wrote, “the anti-Stalinists who became conservatives—including James Burnham, Whittaker Chambers, and Irving Kristol—the Right gained a political education and, in some cases, an injection of passion.” This passion includes, in that great Wilsonian phrase, “making the world safe for democracy.” Much like Trotsky’s quest to launch a socialist revolution in every corner of the planet, neocons today fight the same war. The only difference is that they crusade for liberal democracy—which in some ways is more debased and vile than outright communism.
It pains me to no end how housebroken conservatives will rally around these stealth leftists. Some people cannot let go of the lies that make them feel good.

Do the government schools work? Just ask them!

Wondrous news! Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools have narrowed the graduation rate between White and Black students. From the Observer:

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ high school graduation rate set a new high in 2014, while the gap between white and minority students continued to narrow, the district said Wednesday.

The district’s rate hit 85.2 percent this year, the fifth straight year of increases. That is up from 81 percent in 2013.

CMS has now increased its graduation rate by more than 15 percentage points over the last five years. More than half of the district’s high schools now have a graduation rate above 90 percent.
How was this educational miracle achieved? Simple: Starting with the class of 2013, CMS lowered its graduation requirements from 28 credits to 24. Brilliant, eh?

Whether it's race-norming or outright fraud, the government schools will use every dirty trick imaginable to create the illusion that its victims students receive a quality education, and that Blacks are catching up with Whites. How long will parents continue to believe them?

US Signs Agreement with Mexico to Protect Mexican Workers--Including Illegals

Americans just got stabbed in the back - again - by their handlers in DC. From CNSNews:

At a signing ceremony on Friday, the U.S. government, through the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Mexican government to allow Mexican Nationals – regardless of immigration status – to “exercise their workplace rights.”

The MOU is consistent with the “core mission of this commission,” Mexican Ambassador to the United States Eduardo Medina Mora Icaza said, adding “that regardless of national origin or immigration status all workers have rights and there are processes to safeguard them.
Now it's official - the U.S. government has joined with Mexico, George Soros, Mark Zuckerberg, and the rest of the Billionaire Boys' Club against the American worker. What this means is that the central government will use the force of law to undermine and erase the rights of American citizens. This is a major step toward replacing trouble-making Americans, with all their notions of rights and heritage and such, with compliant, easily exploited foreigners.

That's a win for Big Business, Mexico, and Big Government. And what about American citizens, who are the big losers in this deal? It's "racist" to think about them, as this article makes clear:

A Texas catering business will pay the United States $26,400 for engaging in “citizenship-discrimination,” as part of a settlement with the Justice Department announced Tuesday.

Culinaire International unlawfully discriminated against employees based on their citizenship status, the Justice Department claimed, because it required non-citizen employees to provide extra proof of their right to work in the United States.

Culinaire has agreed to pay the United States $20,460 in civil penalties, receive training in anti-discrimination rules of the Immigration and Nationality Act, revise its work eligibility verification process, and create a $40,000 back pay fund for “potential economic victims.”
Yes, you read that right - anyone who tries to protect American jobs by weeding out illegal aliens will be punished. That story is a whack on the head to those who still don't believe DC is the enemy.

Immigration officials lost track of 6,000 foreign nationals in US

On Labor Day, Obama spoke to union members in Milwaukee, where he stressed his commitment to "immigrant rights." Apparently, he wasn't sufficiently pro-immigrant for one demonstrator, who confronted Obama with a sign that read "Shut Down ICE!" My initial reaction was anger - I mean, the nerve of this guy, sneaking into the country, blatantly breaking our laws, and now demanding that the rest of his country be allowed to come here and take advantage of us.

But then I saw this story, and it hit me that DC has pretty much given that brash demonstrator everything he wants - from the looks of things, border security is nothing more than a hindrance to a regime determined to import a new people:

The Department of Homeland Security has lost track of more than 6,000 foreign nationals who entered the United States on student visas, overstayed their welcome, and essentially vanished -- exploiting a security gap that was supposed to be fixed after the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks.

"My greatest concern is that they could be doing anything," said Peter Edge, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement official who oversees investigations into visa violators. "Some of them could be here to do us harm." ...

ABC News found that immigration officials have struggled to keep track of the rapidly increasing numbers of foreign students coming to the U.S. -- now in excess of one million each year. The immigration agency’s own figures show that 58,000 students overstayed their visas in the past year. Of those, 6,000 were referred to agents for follow-up because they were determined to be of heightened concern.
A regime that shows such little concern for the security of its people has lost all legitimacy.

Quote of the day

"According to the International Journal of Epidemiology, life expectancy at age 20 for homosexual and bisexual men is eight to 20 years less than for all men. That’s a lifestyle shortening of life expectancy greater than obesity and tobacco use. Yet one never hears of insurance companies advertising lower premiums for heterosexual men. You say, “That would be discrimination.” You’re right, but why is it acceptable for insurance companies to discriminate against smokers and the obese but not homosexuals?" Walter Williams

Who says you can't put a price on diversity?

The problem with Xinjiang is that it's full of Uighurs

What's the difference between conservatives and leftists? Conservatives know that ancestry and heritage determine culture. Leftists say that ancestry and heritage determine culture.

What they disagree on is whether the historic culture is something to be nourished or dismantled. Whether liberals or communists, all leftists know that heritage must be eradicated.

So Beijing now seeks to do away with those pesky, secession-minded Uighurs by offering incentives to encourage mixed marriages. From the Washington Post:

China is offering cash rewards for interracial marriages in its troubled Muslim-majority region of Xinjiang, according to news reports, mirroring a policy now being promoted in Tibet.

President Xi Jinping has responded to ethnic unrest in Xinjiang and Tibet with a familiar strategy: putting in place suffocating security controls and promising significant investment in development and infrastructure, the moves buttressed by the continued migration of China’s majority Han people into both regions.

But Xi has also shifted policy toward a concept of “inter-ethnic fusion,” according to James Leibold, an expert on China's ethnic policies who teaches at Melbourne’s La Trobe University. That is a move away from China’s long-standing idea of “separate but equal” ethnicities and toward a more American-style concept of a melting pot — or, in Xi’s own words, the binding together of China’s ethnic groups as tightly as the seeds in a pomegranate.

How low will Donald Douglas go?

I don't know. When he's not featuring R-rated porn to boost his numbers on what he imagines is a "serious" political site, he's cheering on yet another war that he doesn't have to fight. Clearly desperate to get a job with a Neocon think tank, he eagerly smears those who oppose DC's agenda of perpetual war or who question US taxpayer subsidies to the Israeli government.

But Douglas' hit piece on William Lind is pure slime scraped from the bottom of a third-world sewer. Douglas not only maligns Lind, but tosses in links to other hit pieces that slander the South and Jefferson Davis.

And notice that those pieces he links to favorably mention the Southern Poverty Law Center and the ADL, two leftist hit squads. You know a man by the company he keeps.
