As Scots Weigh Independence, Wales Takes Note

Nationalism, as Samuel Huntington once pointed out, is like a bent twig - at some point, it will snap back. In the megastate once known as the United Kingdom, nationalism is snapping back so forcefully, it's knocking some politicians off their feet. From the astounding growth of UKIP, which sell-out politicians and their tame media tried to ignore, to the resurgence of Scottish nationalism, the multi-cultural experiment is quickly collapsing. Now Welsh nationalists feel energized by the success of the Scottish National Party's independence referendum:

Less than a month before Scotland holds a referendum on whether to leave Britain, Wales is watching with a mix of envy, excitement and trepidation.

“If Scotland votes yes, the genie is out of the bottle,” said Leanne Wood, leader of Wales’s nationalist party Plaid Cymru. Only one in 10 Welsh voters supports independence, compared with about four in 10 in Scotland, but Ms. Wood thinks that could change. “The tectonic plates of the United Kingdom are shifting,” she said.
I'd say the genie will stay out of the bottle even if the SNP doesn't win next month. The dreary uniformity of multiculturalism simply cannot compete with the natural yearning to see one's own people and culture stake a claim in the future. No amount of name-calling will kill that desire.

What was fringe is becoming mainstream, ctd.

I remember all too well those days when people would look at me funny when I denounced DC as an empire. No, they'd say, this is a government of, by, and for THE PEOPLE.

But that was then. Now, in the wake of the USA Patriot Act, Ed Snowden's earth-shaking revelations, and DC's obvious plan to wage perpetual war and the public be damned, it's probably a majority that sees DC as an illegitimate and rogue conqueror. This article, aptly entitled "A Free Society Must Give Up Empire," lays out what we MUST do to stop this monster:

If Americans want a free society at home, then they must convince the U.S. government to give up its global empire. The militarized police recently on display in Ferguson was no freak coincidence: Antiwar activists and other civil libertarians have been warning for decades that an aggressive US foreign policy would eventually destroy domestic liberties. Americans can’t ask their government to subjugate foreigners with bombs but bow to their own wishes at the ballot box.
Hey, it's kinda neat being in the mainstream for a change.

This day in history

In 1999, East Timor residents voted to secede from Indonesia.

Self-determination is what folks do when they have a choice. Multi-culturalism is what happens when conquered peoples are forced together.

What was fringe is becoming mainstream

We've been saying for some time now that as the government and its institutions are turned against us, we need to secede from those institutions. The government schools are a perfect place to start. This story reveals how North Carolinians are increasingly turning their backs on the governments Satanic mills:

North Carolina officials say there has been a huge increase over the past two years in the number of Tar Heel families who have pulled their kids out of public schools and begun educating them at home.

The number of homeschools has jumped 27 percent since the 2011-12 school year, reports.homeschoolhouse

As of last year, 98,172 North Carolinian children were homeschooled; that’s 2,400 students more than the number who attended a private school.

While the sputtering economy is the reason families are choosing homeschooling over private schooling, the nationalized learning experiment (Common Core) is the main reason families are leaving the public schools in the first place.

“Common Core is a big factor that I hear people talk about,” Beth Herbert, founder of Lighthouse Christian Homeschool Association, told “They’re not happy with the work their kids are coming home with. They’ve decided to take their children home.”
You may recall this video of a Common Core SUPPORTER admitting the agenda was anti-White:

Free Scotland!

With 20 days to go, the Scottish pro-independence movement is gaining momentum. This story highlights an important development that every independence movement must understand:

Earlier this year, Salmond, Scotland’s First Minister under the Edinburgh parliament’s current limited powers, said that Scotland would be becoming independent “in more promising circumstances than virtually any nation in history,” if it votes for secession. ...

On Thursday, 200 company heads signed an open letter to say independence was in Scotland’s “best interest.”

“We are involved in business and entrepreneurship at different levels in Scotland and around the world. We believe independence is in the best interests of Scotland’s economy and its people,” the letter reads.

Leading signatories are Sir Brian Souter, chairman of Stagecoach, an Australian-based transport giant, Jim McColl, chairman and CEO of Clyde Blowers, a £1 billion engineering group, and Ralph Topping, former CEO of bookmaker William Hill.
Yes, people will make economic sacrifices to preserve identity. And yes, there is also that all-too-human fear of change and the unknown. But economic disruptions must be minimized if people are to support secession. Alex Salmond, the head of the Scottish National Party, has figured that out.

This day in history

In 1991, the Supreme Soviet, the parliament of the U.S.S.R., suspended all activities of the Communist Party, bringing an end to the institution.

That was something I once thought I'd never live to see. In college, EVERYONE knew communism was inevitable. Oops.

Jeffersonians rally for independence at the California Capitol

This is the inevitable response to Open Borders - Whites will be forced to create their own political units. As California goes, so goes the rest of the country - so here's a little preview of things to come:

After a rally at the Capitol marked by chants of “The time has come for 51!” and a surprise appearance by Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, supporters of the State of Jefferson presented their “declarations of separation” to the California Legislature on Thursday.

The declarations from Modoc and Siskiyou counties, expressing their desire to withdraw from California because of a lack of representation in Sacramento, marked the first official step in the secession movement’s long-running efforts to re-form as a new state in Northern California.
Can't say as I'm all that wild about their flag, but, hey, it's a start. The point is that we're seeing once again that the Empire's "one size fits all" notion is not working and cannot work. The system is collapsing, to be replaced by a network of city-states, region-states, and ethnic-based states.

Tolkien and Beowulf

I was greatly pleased by the news that J.R.R. Tolkien's son discovered his father's manuscript of an original translation of Beowulf and had it published. And this thoughtful review in The Catholic World Report is just as enjoyable. Tolkien's inspired translation is a forceful reminder that whatever perversions and distractions may delude and ensnare modern man, certain truths endure:

At the least, we can say that there is more reality to Old English folklore than in the perverse fantasies by which Americans now live. When a society promotes disloyalty and monstrosity so far as to celebrate dragons and vampires and witches, when respectability-craving “conservatives” can always find reasons to compromise with the next phase of an ongoing anti-Christian revolution, when piles of gadgets and toys and luxury goods are offered in compensation for the loss of faith, family, and roots—why, in such times we could do worse than to recall Beowulf’s trusty kinsman Wiglaf, who lives by the dictum that “[k]inship may nothing set aside in virtuous mind.”
This reminds me of Sam Francis' review of James C. Russell’s The Germanization of Early Medieval Christianity, which argued that northern European Christianity was heavily influenced by the pagan worldview of its adherents. Unlike the "world-rejecting" Oriental religions, northern Europeans embraced and celebrated the world, including their past:

The saints and Christ Himself were depicted as Germanic warrior heroes; both festivals and locations sacred in ancient Germanic cults were quietly taken over by the Christians as their own; and words and concepts with religious meanings and connotations were subtly redefined in terms of the new religion. Yet the final result was not that the Germans were converted to the Christianity they had originally encountered, but rather that that form of Christianity was “Germanized,” coming to adopt many of the same Indo-European folk values that the old pagan religion had celebrated.
I think J.R.R. Tolkien would approve.

Merkel says "America Can't Solve All The World's Problems Anymore"

You know you're gaining weight/getting old/going bald or whatever, when your friends start noticing and commenting. The DC Empire is busily self-destructing by launching wars that are as endless as they are pointless, importing millions of immigrants yearning to be on the government dole, and subverting its historic culture and demographic. And other countries are noticing. Add Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany to the growing list of foreign leaders willing to state what's obvious to everyone but the self-appointed Masters of the Universe in DC - the last empire is fading fast.

Washington Has Gone Stark Raving Mad

That's not my headline - it's from the author, David Stockman, who served as the director of the Office of Management and Budget in the Reagan administration. Here, he examines the latest insanity from DC, which has become so detached from reality that it's mutated from switching sides in Syria to wanting to attack everything in sight:

Exactly one year ago Obama proposed to take Bashar Al Assad to the woodshed because he had allegedly unleashed a vicious chemical attack on his own citizens. That was all pretext, of course, because even the CIA refused to sign-off on the flimsy case for Assad’s culpability at the time—-a reluctance corroborated since then by the considerable evidence that hundreds of Syrian civilians were murdered during a false flag operation staged by the rebels with help from Turkey. The aim of the rebels, of course, was to activate American tomahawk missiles and bombers in behalf of “regime change”, which was also the stated goal of the Obama Administration.

Now the White House is threatening to bomb Syria again, but this time its “regime change” objective has been expanded to include both sides!
Now, normal people can see just how nutty this sounds, but in DC, it makes perfect sense to launch an unprovoked attack on both sides of a civil war. Freedom is on the march! Or something like that.

Ethnic solidarity is good!

So says Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs ... as long as it's solidarity among the right people. Here, he posts a video that denounces Senator Marco Rubio for the horrendous crime of enforcing federal immigration laws. The video is entitled, "SEN MARCO RUBIO SIDES WITH HIS PARTY OVER HIS PEOPLE."

Can you imagine how Prince Charles would sniff and scowl over a video that accused a White politician of working against his own people?

Next step: A nationalized police force

Progressives want Obama to nationalize the nation's police forces into one massive, unstoppable domestic army. Of course, their announced intentions are the most noble:

In cities across America, local law enforcement units too often treat low-income neighborhoods populated by African Americans and Latinos as if they are military combat zones instead of communities where people strive to live, learn, work, play and pray in peace and harmony. Youth of color, black boys and men especially, who should be growing up in supportive, affirming environments are instead presumed to be criminals and relentlessly subjected to aggressive police tactics that result in unnecessary fear, arrests, injuries, and deaths.
Yes, it's for the minorities, as are almost all expansions of DC's power over us. You see, we can't trust local communities to treat these helpless people fairly. Only the enlightened ones in DC can dispense justice fairly and equitably while respecting the rights of its citizens. (That's why the National Security Agency is held in such high regard.)

The open letter to Obama invokes the case of Michael Brown, naturally. But it fails to mention the riots that erupted as a result of his shooting, which suggests there's good reason for the police to suspect the people in these communities have other things in mind than just wanting to "live, learn, play, and pray in peace and harmony." From the look and sound of things in Ferguson, I'd say these populations are looking for an excuse to loot and burn. But that's just me.

FBI, DHS bulletin warns of retaliation for airstrikes against ISIS

What's this? These people seem to think Muslims might not like having the US bomb their homelands - and might even strike back. From Fox News:

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security have sent out a bulletin to law enforcement officials warning that U.S. airstrikes in Iraq could provoke retaliation by Islamic State sympathizers in the U.S., Fox News has learned.

The warning on Friday comes shortly after U.S. intelligence officials said there is evidence foreign fighters have returned to their home countries and started Islamic State cells. While there is no evidence of a credible plot against the U.S. now, the latest bulletin warns that the lone wolf nature of the threat would make it difficult to thwart.

"It is difficult to predict triggers that will contribute to [homegrown violent extremists] attempting acts of violence," the bulletin said. "[Lone wolf terrorists] present law enforcement with limited opportunities to detect and disrupt plots, which frequently involve simple plotting against targets of opportunity."

Islamic State militants claimed last week that the execution of American journalist James Foley was in retaliation for U.S. airstrikes in Iraq.
Makes sense to me. After all, 9/11 was just blowback from DC's 60-odd year war against Muslims in the Middle East. And with our borders so laughably porous, and with numerous immigrant communities to hide in, Muslim terrorists would have little trouble carrying out retaliatory operations in the US. So we'd better think twice before unleashing hell once again - it might bounce back at us.

The sun is setting on the DC Empire

Uh-oh - looks like more folks are catching on to DC's deception. Here's leftist professor Cornel West expressing his disappointment at Obama:

No, the thing is he posed as a progressive and turned out to be counterfeit. We ended up with a Wall Street presidency, a drone presidency, a national security presidency. The torturers go free. The Wall Street executives go free. The war crimes in the Middle East, especially now in Gaza, the war criminals go free. And yet, you know, he acted as if he was both a progressive and as if he was concerned about the issues of serious injustice and inequality and it turned out that he’s just another neoliberal centrist with a smile and with a nice rhetorical flair. And that’s a very sad moment in the history of the nation because we are—we’re an empire in decline. Our culture is in increasing decay. Our school systems are in deep trouble. Our political system is dysfunctional. Our leaders are more and more bought off with legalized bribery and normalized corruption in Congress and too much of our civil life.
Whoa! Notice he uses the terms "empire in decline," "war crimes," "national security presidency," and "Wall Street presidency." If you closed your eyes, you'd think you were listening to a League of the South speech. But West is right - the DC Empire is no democracy where new leaders can be elected if the present ones disappoint - THEY'RE ALL THE SAME. All presidents serve the Military Industrial Complex by giving it the gloss of popular support. The Empire is run by Big Business and Big Government, what Eisenhower originally denounced as the "Military-Industrial-Congressional Complex."

The bottom line is that the DC Empire is losing legitimacy. Tick-tock...

FBI Admits: No Credible Threats to US From ISIS

Our handlers have hit the panic button about ISIS, so patriotic Americans are supposed to run around their computers and TVs screaming their lungs out and beg Obama to save them. (So - it's 2003 again.) And just as in the days prior to the invasion of Iraq (what former NSA director Lt. General William Odom called "the greatest strategic disaster in American history"), there are authoritative voices countering the hysteria. Despite the ravings of the armchair strategists and coffee table security experts, the FBI sees no domestic threat from ISIS:

US officials have been keen to build up the threat of ISIS to ever broader, ever more hysterical levels. Sen. James Inhofe (R – OK) even claimed they’re close to coming up with some secret way to wipe out an entire major US city.

The honest assessments aren’t nearly so alarmist, with the FBI conceding in a bulletin issued to local law enforcement today that there is no specific or credible threat of an ISIS terror attack on the US.
Have we learned our lessons from Afghanistan and Iraq? We can always hope - and try our best to get the word out in time.

"Get Ready"

It's the biggest threat to our freedom and lives since Saddam Hussein and Manuel Noriega combined! There's no time to think! Let's bomb something!

Yes, here we go again - the DC Empire is about to unleash hell in the Middle East once again. Those drooling sounds you hear are from the War Industry and the pro-war, any war crowd. Fox News has the lascivious details:

Top U.S. military brass and former administration officials are publicly pressuring the White House to consider taking the fight against the Islamic State into Syria, warning that the terror organization poses an unprecedented threat to the United States.

"ISIL is as sophisticated and well-funded as any group that we have seen. They're beyond just a terrorist group," Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said Thursday, adding that the U.S. will have to take a "cold, steely hard look" and "get ready."
And THIS TIME, we're assured there REALLY IS a threat to the Homeland. Really.

Quote of the day

“In Russia, live like Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, it should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law, and live the life of Muslim’s then we advise them to go to those places where that’s the state law." Vladimir Putin, in an 8/4/2014 address to the Duma

US Airstrikes Will Continue Until Muslims Stop Hating Americans!

Yankee blowhard Pete King, safe 'n snug in his Congressional office suite, wants Obama to order yet another bloody round of mayhem against the people of the Middle East:

Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) on Wednesday said the beheading of American journalist James Foley by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) was effectively "a declaration of war" and called for a stronger U.S. military response.

"The president has to announce that this is a basically almost a declaration of war on the United States," King said Wednesday in a phone interview.

"We don't have the luxury of just saying, 'The war is over. The war's not going on,’ ” he continued. “There is a war. It's a threat to the U.S., and we have to fight back.”
Pete King could be the reincarnation of William T. Sherman. He's got the power, and he's got the crazy.

Missouri cop was badly beaten before shooting Michael Brown

Let's see how Charles Johnson and the SPLC manhandle this inconvenient fact about the left's favorite "gentle giant":
Darren Wilson, the Ferguson, Mo., police officer whose fatal shooting of Michael Brown touched off more than a week of demonstrations, suffered severe facial injuries, including an orbital (eye socket) fracture, and was nearly beaten unconscious by Brown moments before firing his gun, a source close to the department's top brass told
“The Assistant (Police) Chief took him to the hospital, his face all swollen on one side,” said the insider. “He was beaten very severely.”

The Civil Rights Revolution Marches On! ctd.

What's a White politician to do when the NAACP demands he change his position on something? He caves, that's what. Kent Buinn, the mayor of Ocala, Florida, once supported an ordinance that banned the public display of underpants. But when the NAACP said "Grovel!", Mayor Buinn answered, "How low?" From WKMG of Orlando:
Just over a month after signing the controversial saggy pants ordinance, Ocala Mayor Kent Guinn said Tuesday he no longer supports it and is urging council members to reconsider.
"I think you get into really dangerous territory when you start legislating what type of clothes people wear or how they put together their ensemble," Guinn said.
His stance comes after criticism by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. The groups claims to be taking direct action against the city, which can mean a lawsuit, according to Dale Landry, with the NAACP Florida chapter.
"I'm sorry, it's going to be black males that are the subject of this," Landry said.
The saggy pants law bans anyone on city property from wearing his or her pants two inches below the natural waist in a way that exposes their underwear or buttocks. Offenders can be fined up to $500 and spend time in jail.
This is what the Civil Rights Revolution has produced: same-sex "marriage," open borders, and now the God-given right to wear your pants around your knees in public.

What's next?

Quote of the day

“For a Westerner to trash Western culture is like criticizing our nitrogen/oxygen atmosphere on the grounds that it sometimes gets windy, and besides, Jupiter’s is much prettier. You may not realize its advantages until you’re trying to breathe liquid methane.” Neal Stephenson

The Civil Rights Revolution Marches On!

In the name of equality, private property must be abolished along with traditional morality. And both took a beating recently in New York. From American Thinker:
New York farmers who host birthday parties and other events must pay a $13,000 fine because they refused to host a gay wedding.
The couple, Cynthia and Robert Gifford, have hosted gay wedding receptions in the past. But because weddings are conducted on the first floor of their house, Cynthia Gifford refused to host a gay wedding ceremony of two lesbians because of her Christian faith.
So the Giffords cannot use their own property as they see fit, and they must suffer for refusing to embrace Cultural Marxism. And remember - the Civil Rights Revolution was supposed to extend freedom to all.

57% of Blacks believe Officer Wilson murdered Brown

I guess that settles that. If you believe in democracy, there's no need for a trial. Wilson killed Brown out of racial hatred.

This day in history

In 1587, Virginia Dare became the first child of English parents born in North America.

Quote of the day

“The poor have been rebels, but they have never been anarchists; they have more interest than anyone else in there being some decent government. The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn’t; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all. Aristocrats were always anarchists.” G. K. Chesterton

The Two-Party Curse

Republicans care only for the rich, while Democrats champion the poor. Right? Well, that's a well-used and effective slogan for Dems, but as this Salon writer confesses, it's a pretty empty slogan. In truth, Democrats have a lot to answer for:

In a much-reported study, the Russell Sage Foundation discovered that median household wealth in this country fell by 36 percent in the 10-year period ending last year. Wealth for people at the top, as other news stories remind us, has continued to soar. These things are a consequence of the Great Recession, of course, but they are also a reminder of the grand narrative of our time: The lot of average Americans constantly seems to be growing worse. ...

But sooner or later you will also have to acknowledge that there are two parties in this country, not just one; that the Democrats held significant power during the period in question, including (for much of it) the presidency itself; and that even when they are not in the White House, these Democrats nevertheless retain the capacity to persuade and to organize. For a party of the left, dreadful news like this should be rocket fuel. For the Dems, however, it hasn’t been. Why is that? Well, for one thing, because a good number of those Democrats have not really objected to the economic policies that have worked these awful changes over the years.
Off-shoring and floodtide immigration have done more to depress middle-class income than any other government policy. With jobs vanishing overseas, and with competition for remaining jobs at home increasing from low-wage immigrants, the middle and lower-middle class working folk have been pummeled. Remember, it was Bill Clinton who pushed through NAFTA, which turned out to be disastrous for workers. And Obama rammed through the free trade agreement with South Korea.

The Democrats' idea of helping workers is to toss them an anvil when they're drowning.

SPLC Watch

Fox News ran a story entitled "FBI warns New Black Panther leader in Ferguson inciting violence." The SPLC then reports in its Hatewatch blog that the motive in reporting on the Black Panthers was to "stoke fears of racial violence."

Media Matters: Fox News raises specter of New Black Panthers to stoke fears of racial violence in Missouri.

I'm no fan of Fox News, but check out this short video of the New and Improved Black Panthers in action, and judge for yourself who's guilty of stoking racial violence:

Strange, huh? As Steve Sailer observes, "It’s almost as if the national media and the Democratic Party naturally work together to try to boost black turnout in November by stoking racial hatred against whites." Hmmm...

Scots moving to a 'Yes' vote on independence

Support for a free and independent Scotland has grown by 4 percent from the previous poll. From The Scotsman:

Last night, independence campaigners welcomed the rise in Yes support. Blair Jenkins, chief executive of Yes Scotland, said: “This is a very encouraging poll – putting Yes support up by four points in a month. Yes is continuing to gain ground and success on 18 September is within Scotland’s reach. The poll also shows that among those who were undecided last month and have now made up their minds, they have come to Yes by a margin of two to one.

“Scotland is one of the wealthiest countries in the world. More and more people are agreeing with us that only with independence can we make that enormous wealth work better for all the people who live and work here.”
While support for Scottish independence still has a long way to go, this is a big deal, not just for Scotland, but for other independence movements, including our own. As noted political commentator Ed Sebesta observes:

If Scotland secedes then secession will become a real possibility for many elsewhere. Great Britain has been a nation for quite some time. The Scotland and England [sic] have been one nation since 1707. That is over 300 years ago. There may be successful secessionist movements elsewhere, but if the Catalans do or don't secede it won't have too much impact on the American or the English speaking imagination. However, Scotland, England, and Great Britain occupy a special space in the American imagination.

If Scotland does secede what was unimaginable become imaginable.
Well said!

"An act of war upon our people"

Our Virginia-Maryland State Chairman, Shane Long, does a fine job describing the real issue of floodtide immigration in this article from National Geographic:

In Manassas, the Hispanic community has doubled within the last decade and now makes up a third of the population. The small city, with a population of around 28,000, has become a battleground just as surely as it was during the Civil War....

Now the new battle cry in Manassas is to keep the undocumented children from settling in the county. "We should deport illegal immigrants who are in violation of our laws, because it is the law and because that discourages other potential illegal immigrants," says Letiecq. "There is a legal process for legitimate immigration, and it starts at an embassy or consulate, not with the Border Patrol tens or hundreds of miles inside the U.S."

Shane Long, vice chairman of the Maryland chapter of the League of the South, takes a more radical position. Child or adult, legal or illegal—it doesn't matter, he says. He asserts that "a large amount" of native Virginians and Marylanders share his belief that all of the above intrude on Southerners' right to exist as a distinct people. "Any act or nonaction by the federal government to bring about such large influxes of non-Southern peoples is genocide and is viewed as [that] by native Southerners," he says. "It is, in effect, an act of war upon our people."

Who wins?

Here's Jeremy Rosner urging Obama to launch another war despite popular opposition:

Polls in March showed that most Americans did not want the United States to get very involved in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. But there was zero public outcry when Obama deployed a dozen U.S. F-16s to fly reconnaissance on the Russian border, sent warships to the Black Sea, and put more than 500 U.S. troops into neighboring countries.

In too many other cases, however, President Obama has seemed to avoid sharp-edged actions abroad, partly out of a fear that the American public will not support him. Obama’s new willingness to deploy American advisers and air strikes to protect U.S. interests in Iraq is more encouraging, and both he and his successors will find that if they take strong actions abroad that advance America’s national security interests, even an inward-focused public will provide the latitude they need to act.
While the pro-war, any war crowd begs Obama to bypass the Constitution for their pet cause, the pro-alien (that is, anti-American) crowd is also demanding Obama usurp authority to further their cause:

When US lawmakers left Washington DC for a five-week long congressional recess late last week, a frustrated Barack Obama said he was left to “act alone” on immigration....

“I don’t think the president has any option but to do something that is bold, and big and our community will judge him based on the scope of that,” said Lorella Praeli, the advocacy and policy director for United We Dream, a pro-immigration reform group, during a conference call with reporters on Thursday....

Frank Sharry, executive director of America’s Voice, an immigration advocacy group, said during the call that Congress’ refusal to pass immigration reform gives president “sole responsibility” to act, adding that the gridlock provides a pathway for the president “to go big on administrative action”.
The bottom line of both groups is that their respective cause is so lofty, such trivial matters as constitutional formalities and majority opinion DO NOT MATTER. Thanks to these pressure groups, we are lurching toward an imperial presidency.

And you know what really kills me? When you argue against either group by reminding them the Constitution restricts the president from giving them what they want, you get branded as "extremist." How long can we call ourselves a nation of laws when one man can impose his will on the rest of us?

Picking sides in Ferguson

There is no good news from Ferguson, other than the fact that as of this morning, the riots there have not spread to other cities. The arrival of Missouri State troopers to replace the Ferguson police seems to have cooled things off a bit. Still, the streets of Ferguson are tense. And it's hard to sympathize with the street thugs who are clearly using the situation as an excuse for looting and mindless violence. On one side we have the forces of barbarism and anarchy. Here, the rioters are preparing Molotov cocktails:
The left has embraced these goons, pretending the protesters are only expressing righteous outrage. Sure - every flat-screen TV the rioters steal is another step toward racial harmony. But as repulsive as these rioters are, I'm equally horrified at the actions of the local police, who look more like an occupation army than peacekeepers:
We need look no further than DC to see why local police departments have taken on the actions and attitudes of a military garrison. It's no secret the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security have equipped many law enforcement agencies with just about everything an army needs to handle what they regard as a hostile and threatening civilian population. It's a vicious cycle. DC opens the borders while bombing the world. After the INEVITABLE domestic terror attack, a frightened population submits to the government adopting even more authoritarian measures to "protect" them. When will we learn that the machinery of empire is creating the very tyranny it's supposed to be protecting us from?

Home schooling accelerates in North Carolina

What can people do when the government institutions that were supposed to serve them now openly ridicule and work against them? Simple - just bypass them:

North Carolina’s home schools are growing at a record rate and are now estimated to have more students than the state’s private schools.

New figures from the state show there were 60,950 home schools in the 2013-14 school year, a 14.3 percent increase from the prior year and a 27 percent increase from two years ago. The state estimates there are 98,172 home-schoolers, marking the first time that North Carolina’s home-school enrollment has surpassed the number in private schools.

“If you’re dissatisfied with public education, you really have two routes,” said Kevin McClain, president of North Carolinians For Home Education, a statewide support group. “You can send your child to a private school – which is really expensive – or you can home-school. The economy means that, for many people, you home-school.”

Twenty-five years ago, there were about 2,300 home-schooled students in North Carolina. But concerns about school violence, lack of a religious focus and the large size of public schools have helped fuel home-school growth.
The government schools have mutated into indoctrination and social engineering centers focusing on drilling "proper thinking" into the heads of their victims students. And with yet another DC power grab in the form of "Common Core," this perversion of government schools will only get worse:

Think of home schooling as another baby step toward secession from a Marxist, multicult empire.

Major Democratic Donor Supports Southern Secession

The reason Congress is deadlocked on so many issues is because there's little national consensus on ANY issue these days. For example, just think how much diversity the rump USA could have if Southern and Western representatives didn't stand in the way of amnesty. So Guy Saperstein, a Democratic Party big shot, has an idea:

A major Democratic donor said he supports Southern secession because the South is “dumbing down” national politics, according to emails from a secret progressive Google group obtained by Media Trackers, a conservative Wisconsin news outlet.

In an email thread on Gamechanger Salon—a closed Google group of progressive organizers, reporters, and campaign apparatchiks—Guy Saperstein, a major Democratic donor and part owner of the Oakland Athletics baseball team, said he would support the South seceding.

“For more than 100 years, the South has been dumbing down national politics, tilting the country in a conservative direction, supporting militarism, all while demanding huge financial subsidies from blue states,” Guy Saperstein wrote in the emails. “It would be 100% fine with me if the South was a separate nation, pursuing its own priorities and destiny.”
But how could we Southerners survive without having San Francisco values imposed on us? And how could we get along without DC's perpetual warfare? Or a $7 trillion (and growing) debt? Or multiculturalism?

So please, Mr. Saperstein, don't do it! Please don't throw us in that briar patch! It would just be awful!

STUDY: Americans have virtually no impact on federal policy

News flash: The overgrown, over-centralized DC Empire is the tool of big business and big government, not the people it claims to serve. Who says that? Just some professor at Princeton University:

A startling new political science study concludes that corporate interests and mega wealthy individuals control U.S. policy to such a degree that "the preferences of the average American appear to have only a minuscule, near-zero, statistically non-significant impact upon public policy."

The startling study, titled "Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups, and Average Citizens," is slated to appear in an upcoming issue of Perspectives on Politics and was authored by Princeton University Professor Martin Gilens and Northwestern University Professor Benjamin Page.
This is nothing new. We've been arguing for years that the central government is too remote, too big, and too self-serving to be truly responsive to over 300 million people. Reform? Don't make me laugh. DC has rigged the system so reform is impossible. Try starting a political party or even challenging the incumbent within an existing party, and you'll see how welcome dissent is.

There is an answer, however, and that is to scale down government so that it is local and responsive to its people. If they can manage it in Switzerland, surely we can do it here.

About half of kids' learning ability is in their DNA, study says

This is the most dangerous thing you will ever read. It says the entire foundation for the Civil Rights Regime is based on pure fantasy:
“Twins are like a natural experiment,” said Robert Plomin, a psychologist at Kings College London who worked on the study. Identical twins share 100% of their DNA and fraternal twins share 50% (on average), but all siblings presumably experience similar degrees of parental attentiveness, economic opportunity and so on. Different pairs of twins, in contrast, grow up in unique environments.

The researchers administered a set of math and verbal tests to the children and then compared the performance of different sets of twins. They found that the twins’ scores — no matter if they were high or low — were twice as similar among pairs of identical twins as among pairs of fraternal twins. The results indicated that approximately half of the children’s math and reading ability stemmed from their genetic makeup.

A complementary analysis of unrelated kids corroborated this conclusion — strangers with equivalent academic abilities shared genetic similarities.

“We don’t want to pit nature vs. nurture,” Plomin said. “But for parents who still think kids are a blob of clay that you mold to be what you want them to be, I hope this data — and there’s tons of other data like this — will convince people to recognize and respect individual differences that are genetically driven.”
In a completely unrelated story, Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools have launched an ambitious program to determine why certain schools consistently under-perform:

Currently underway is Project LIFT, a five-year, $55 million public-private partnership supporting West Charlotte High and its feeder schools. Two of the schools on the Beacon list are a part of Project LIFT. Morrison said Beacon would not supplant what Project LIFT is doing.

CMS leaders said this initiative is different because of how individualized to each school it will be. Several school board members noted that schools on the Beacon list have been the focus of projects for years.

“These seem to be the same schools that we’ve concentrated on year after year. At some point we have to get it right,” board member Joyce Waddell said. “I hope whatever we do this time, we’ll do it and get it right.”
After reading the first story, would you vote to spend $55 million on this project? No? That's why it's dangerous - it will pull the rug out from under a vast and powerful bureaucracy that justifies its existence on the premise that human beings ARE lumps of clay.

How Many Americans in ISIS? FBI Is Not Sure

Throwing open the gates to the Third World has allowed many jihadists to obtain Western citizenship and, more important, Western passports. ISIS is now bombing, shooting, and hacking its way through Syria and Iraq to forge its own little caliphate, and it's actively recruiting Muslims from Western countries. How many? Who knows? From

Last year, officials were estimating “dozens” of US fighters had tried to join the various Syrian rebel factions, including ISIS. Comey today put the number who had just joined ISIS at over 100.

How much over is not clear, as Comey says he doesn’t know if it’s 100-200, or 100-500, or even 100-1,000. Well over 1,000 ISIS fighters are known to have come from EU member nations, with large numbers from France.
So, yes, as amazing as it sounds, there are indeed downsides to globalism.

25 turn out in Welcome to protest Klan’s message

The Klan has a very important role in shaping modern political debate, and they are performing brilliantly.

As you can see in this story, the Klan's role is to poison the well and make anyone who does not support open borders appear to be an ogre. From WGHP-TV:
GetEqual N.C. and El Cambio NC conducted a “Hate not welcome in Welcome” anti-Klan rally in front of a shopping center off Old U.S. 52.

The Southern Poverty Law Center considers the Klan a hate group, which is defined as “any organization that considers an entire group as somehow less than the members of their organization.”
See? Only those whose souls are corroded with mindless "hate" would object to importing a new majority. And who's touting that message? The Klan, that's who. Makes me wonder if the Billionaire Boys' Club is bankrolling these geniuses. Good job, fellas!

Laura Ingraham: ‘Iraq Is Worse Off’ Now Than Under Saddam

Anyone with eyes can see the DC Empire has turned a dysfunctional country into a hellhole:

The conservative radio host made the assertion during a “Fox News Sunday” panel debating the impact of President Barack Obama’s decision to make limited strikes in northern Iraq against ultra-violent jihadists from the Islamic State. (RELATED: ISIS Threatens America: ‘We Will Raise The Flag Of Allah In The White House’)

Ingraham contended that military action in the country — even to prevent genocide and oppression — seems to always backfire.

“We try to do all these things in Iraq, now Iraq is worse off,” she said. “I mean, I hate to say that, but Iraq is worse than before we went into Iraq.”

“Christians are gone, there’s no sense of order at all,” she explained. “Saddam Hussein is gone, that’s a good thing. But what’s left? A more emboldened Islamic State, not contained, apparently, even by U.S. airstrikes.”
But that's the thing about ideologues, from Puritans to today's antifa - determined to rid the world of all evil, they make things even worse. The Southern tradition is to deal with life as it is rather than forcing the world to conform to some abstract ideal. As Richard Weaver once noted, "The Southerner accepts the irremediability of a certain amount of evil and tries to fence it around instead of trying to stamp it out and thereby spreading it. His is a classical acknowledgment of tragedy and of the limits of power."

That reminds me of a classic Twilight Zone episode, "The Howling Man." Thinking he is helping an innocent man cruelly imprisoned by religious fanatics, an American tourist in Europe unwittingly frees the Devil. There's a lesson here for do-gooders everywhere:

While Debunking Racist Crime Fears, News Crew Gets Burglarized

Talk about poetic justice. From Unz Review:

Last week, the latest racist outrage to surface in the media was a new smartphone app called SketchFactor that warns you about neighborhoods likely to have high crime rates:

Smiling Young White People Make App for Avoiding Black Neighborhoods

The CBS affiliate in D.C. exposed this bigotry first hand by sending a crew to interview locals in a neighborhood unjustly deemed sketchy by the app:

D.C. news crew robbed while reporting on “sketchy” neighborhoods

… The news crew’s vehicle was burglarized while they were working on a story about a controversial app that alerts people to “sketchy” neighborhoods, WUSA reports.

The crew had locked their news van on a street in Petworth in Northwest, D.C. while they were out in the neighborhood conducting interviews. When they returned they found the lock had been popped out of the door of their news van, and that most of the crew’s gear had been stolen.

I'm still laughing!

Pollsters: 'Everything is terrible'

I don't get it - diversity is up, with Whites predicted to be a minority by 2043, we've got a nifty new war of liberation getting started in the Middle East, the central government is all-powerful, even to the extent of being able to re-define marriage against the will of the people of the States - what more could we want?

And yet, pollsters of all political stripes agree that the whole country feels things are going badly:

Polls from major networks, researchers and newspapers agree: America’s in a bad mood.

In just one week, polls found politicians of all stripes are hitting approval numbers with record lows. The president finds himself roughly as popular as a trip to the dentist. The entire Democratic Party gets the thumbs down. Oh, and so does the Republican Party.

With an ‘everything is terrible’ mindset, I’m mostly thinking about how after several years of cantankerous and unproductive lawmaking in Washington, there are very few political figures or institutions who the public trusts anymore,” Scott Clement, The Washington Post’s polling analyst, said in an interview.
It's a mystery.

This time, the sky really IS falling

Li'l Lindsey Graham is once again doing what he does best, and that's to terrify Americans into supporting yet another war. From Fox News:

SEN. LINDSEY GRAHAM sounds the alarm about the growing threat of the Islamic State, the militant group formerly known as ISIS, launching an attack on American soil unless President Obama takes more decisive action to stop terror group's surge across Iraq and Syria.
And as we all know, by "decisive," Li'l Lindsey means "doing what Bill Kristol and Bibi Netanyahu want us to do." So let's all run around the room screaming, then take DECISIVE action and beg our Congress to do the one thing it's capable of doing, and that's to vote money for Israel and the Pentagon. Otherwise the Islamic State armored division will sprout wings and swoop out of the skies and spray Des Moines with 30mm shells.

What will the outcome be? We know that: Armaments industries and AIPAC will shower Li'l Lindsey and his friends with generous campaign contributions. After a decade or so, the guerrillas will out-maneuver the invaders, and we'll have NO CHOICE but to grant citizenship to the Syrian and Iraqi Muslims who collaborated with US forces.

BTW, notice my oh-so-clever post title? Get it? Islamic State? I just kill myself sometimes.

Racism everywhere!

Now it's "racist" to avoid high-crime areas. Being aware of such areas has a disparate impact on Blacks. Of course.

CNN Poll: Trust in government at all-time low

From Simpsons Wiki:

Marge: This is the worst thing you've ever done!

Homer: You know, you say that so much it's lost all meaning.

Like Homer Simpson, the federal government keeps surprising us by demonstrating there's no limit to its incompetence and corruption. From CNN:

The public's trust in government is at an all-time low.

Just 13% of Americans say the government can be trusted to do what is right always or most of the time, with just over three-quarters saying only some of the time and one in 10 saying they never trust the government, according to the poll.

"The number who trust the government all or most of the time has sunk so low that it is hard to remember that there was ever a time when Americans routinely trusted the government," CNN Polling Director Keating Holland said.
Our so-called representatives claim they're our servants despite their blatant self-serving acts. What employee in the private sector could hold on to a job with such low appraisals of his work? But Congress keeps blundering along, racking up astronomical debt levels while failing spectacularly at such basic duties as protecting the borders.

How bad do things have to get? I don't know. I really don't know.

Unclear on the concept

One of the loudest and least reflective of the armchair generals demanding Obama go back into Iraq calls herself "neo-neocon." She's a competent writer but is wedded to the notion that all problems, whether they be Putin in Ukraine, ISIS in Iraq, or Miley Cyrus in concert, can and should be solved by military action. (I might be persuaded about Miley Cyrus.)

Anyway, her latest post chides Obama for not taking more decisive action in Iraq ("decisive," of course, meaning "doing whatever Bill Kristol and Bibi Netanyahu demand."). In neo-neocon's eyes, Obama is an out-of-touch idealist who thinks he can hug and dialogue his way out of every problem instead of having to wage war. Says neo-neocon:
Turns out that America as cowboy wasn’t so bad after all. The worldwide events of the last few years underscore how putting the “can’t we all just get along?” crowd in charge is one of the surest paths toward chaos and war. That is a terrible paradox, one that has been amply demonstrated in the past, particularly in Munich, 1938.
Ah, yes. It's Munich, I tell you! Because anything other than shock and awe is capitulation.

But the kicker is that neo-neocon cites Rudyard Kipling's “The Gods of the Copybook Headings" with this comment:
It is a profoundly realistic, resigned, and anti-liberal statement of human nature and its follies, and the futility of “hope and change.” The Gods of the Copybook Headings laugh at Nobel Peace Prizes, recognizing them as temporary illusions.
Talk about unclear on the concept. When Kipling wrote this powerful poem, he had just lost his son in the mindless meatgrinder we today call WWI. The poem is about the empty-headed slogans people let themselves be fooled by. ("Global Democratic Revolution," anyone?)  It's laughable that the same post that urges Obama to go back into Iraq quotes a poem with this verse:
As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;
Read that last line again about going back to the fire. That's exactly what neo-neocon and the rest of her ilk want us to do in Iraq.

Neocons. They never learn from their mistakes. Worse, they never admit they make mistakes.

What's wrong with Congress

Speaking of public opinion polls, liberal columnist E.J. Dionne cites one that he doesn't like one little bit. It reveals a new level of distrust against the central government:
If you thought attitudes about Congress couldn't get any worse, consider the Washington Post/ABC News poll's finding this week that 51 percent of Americans disapproved of their own House member. This was the first time in the 25 years the poll has been asking the question that a majority disapproved of their representative. Usually, people hate the body as a whole but like their own guy or woman.
Congress in the abstract does fare much worse. The Real Clear Politics average puts approval of the institution at 12.6 percent.
This is indeed historic. As Dionne notes above, while Americans have long despised Congress, they still let themselves be bought off by local congressmen who could convince voters they were getting free goodies from the rest of the American taxpayers. Now even that's not working any more.

Looks like the scam is over.

Americans worry that illegal migrants threaten way of life, economy

The only thing stopping DC from granting amnesty to millions of illegal alien invaders is the massive public outcry that's shocked politicians who thought they could get away with anything. But it's true - the looming threat of the surge of illegals on the southwest border has people in arms:
As President Barack Obama considers sidestepping Congress to loosen U.S. immigration policy, a Reuters/Ipsos poll shows Americans are deeply worried that illegal immigration is threatening the nation's culture and economy.

Seventy percent of Americans - including 86 percent of Republicans - believe undocumented immigrants threaten traditional U.S. beliefs and customs, according to the poll.
Think about it - despite the constant pounding of propaganda by Hollywood, the corporate news media, and government, Americans STILL aren't ready to submit to foreign domination. It's enough to make an Old Rebel optimistic.

Texas takes charge of its own border security

D.C. won't do it, so Texas takes the challenge against the drug runners and coyotes. It ain't even a fair fight:
Along the Rio Grande here, the suspected smugglers trying to slip into the United States have certainly noticed their adversaries on the water: burly commandos in black-and-white boats mounted with .30-caliber machine guns and bulletproof shields. The patches on the officers’ camouflage fatigues identify them not as federal Border Patrol agents but as another breed of law enforcement entirely.
Texas game wardens.
A team of them — whose routine duties include investigating fishing tournament cheaters and making arrests for B.U.I., or boating under the influence — patrol the Rio Grande, pulling smuggling suspects from the river and dodging rocks thrown from the Mexican side. Members of the Texas Rangers have also traded in their familiar white cowboy hats for camouflage so they can blend into the brush on covert nighttime operations.
If I may make a suggestion: First, ditch the flags of the Evil Empire. That's the flag of your opposition that's allied with the human and drug smugglers. Second, resume ALL of your delegated powers from the District of Corruption. Teach the parasites in D.C. what it means to mess with Texas.

A progressive has second thoughts about "gay rights"

What happens to a society when it suddenly abandons standards of behavior that had sustained it for thousands of years? In the holy name of "Equality," the U.S. is mainstreaming, by force when necessary, the notion that homosexual relations are just as good and valid as heterosexual relations.

Damon Linker isn't so sure:
The objections aren't trivial. Western civilization upheld the old sexual standards for the better part of two millennia. We broke from them in the blink of an eye, figuratively speaking. The gains are pretty clear — It's fun! It feels good! — but the losses are murkier and probably won't be tallied for a very long time.
Is the ethic of individual consent sufficient to keep people (mostly men) from acting violently on their sexual desires?
What will become of childhood if our culture continues down the road of pervasive sexualization?
Do children do best with two parents of opposite genders? Or are two parents of the same gender just as good? Or better? How about one parent of either gender? What about three, four, five, or more people in a constantly evolving polyamorous arrangement?
Judging by the example of Babylon and Rome, I'd say that what happens in an age of unrestrained gratification is the abandonment of children. Those pesky by-products of the swinging life only get in the way of the individual's sacred right to a good time. And that means the end of the future - the end of life.

Something to think about, don't you agree?

Quote of the day

"After Israel was formally established in 1948, all of the “terrorist” activity magically ceased because the new nation had acquired the semantic right to pin the “terrorist” label on all violent underdogs who challenged their power. So when modern Israel bombs villages and slaughters children these days, they are not terrorists—they are merely keeping the peace." Jim Goad, on Israel's bloody history.

A bad day for the Empire

U.S. general killed, other troops wounded in Afghanistan attack

New leaker disclosing U.S. secrets, government concludes

Border agent murder suspects illegally in US, repeatedly arrested & deported

The walls aren't tumbling down yet, but they're cracking.

Word salad of the day

While arguing that Obama should grant amnesty to the who-knows-how-many illegal aliens by executive order, Representative Sheila Jackson Lee made this eloquent statement:

"I would applaud the president because all we’re doing is taking a sore, bleeding sore, and watching it bleed, continue to be infected, and sprinkling water on top of it. That’s what the Republicans are doing. ... We’re blocked by an effort to destroy the good points or the good aspects of immigration reform and the influx of immigrants who have come to this country beginning with the Statute of Liberty, all making the country great."

Uh, right.

Former border patrol officer reveals how bad things are

Political correctness trumps national security in the Department of Homeland Security. Worse, Obama just signed a bill GIVING Israel $250 million for its defense, but we can't afford to patrol our own border. Revolting.

Cartoon links Trayvon Martin, Obama impeachment

At least the cartoonist didn't make Zimmerman a "White Hispanic" or a "cracker."

Stop the Coming Obamnesty!

Pat Buchanan considers the political pluses and minuses Obama may be weighing in determining whether to issue an executive order granting de facto citizenship to millions of illegal aliens. Buchanan warns that  the consequences of such an action would be profound and disastrous:
What problems of America -- from sinking test scores, to collapsing roads and bridges, to endless borrowing to save our social safety net, to income inequality, to culture wars -- will be more easily solved with tens of millions more of the world's destitute arriving?
With all the heavy-hitters advocating for the illegal alien invaders, wouldn't it be nice for someone in D.C. to  take Americans' side for a change? But that isn't going to happen - which is why secession is our only hope.

Judge’s ruling to dismiss ‘Moral Monday’ cases could have sweeping effect

The Tinley Park thugs attacked elderly people with hammers and batons. Only a handful faced charges, and leftist lawyers gave them free legal help, helping them get light sentences.

Now a sympathetic judge appears ready to dismiss charges against the so-called "Moral Monday" protesters who disrupted the North Carolina legislature.

The message couldn't be clearer: Lawlessness, even a vicious attack on the weak, will be excused as long as it's done to promote the leftist agenda. This will have far-reaching consequences:

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

U.N. calls strike near Gaza shelter 'moral outrage'

Ten Palestinian refugees died when the Israeli army attacked a shelter in Gaza. And if you don't approve, you are an anti-Semite who wants another Holocaust. Period.

Poverty spreads across Mecklenburg, North Carolina

The liberal media's brain-dead pronouncements will drive you insane if you let them. The oh-so-politically-correct Charlotte Observer, for example, can always be relied upon to promote liberal social programs and to champion more, more, more immigration. When confronted with proof that welfare only expands and worsens poverty, the Observer's editorial staff simply ignores the facts and calls form more such programs.

But who raises the sharpest and loudest cries when - surprise! - Charlotte sees the poverty level bounce? You guessed it - our own, beloved Charlotte Observer. And you'll never guess what the Observer reporter found when he scouted around in Charlotte's most distressed neighborhoods:

Many distressed neighborhoods are filled with immigrants from around the world, drawn to Charlotte by stories of plentiful jobs, good weather and good schools.

In North Carolina, about 350,000 people live out of compliance with federal immigration laws, according to the Pew Hispanic Center. Other agencies believe nearly 50,000 live in Charlotte.

But poverty in Mecklenburg is not solely an immigrant problem. Of the 132,000 people in poverty in 2010, 46 percent were black, 37 percent were white and 23 percent were Hispanic.

Yet the influx of immigrants has “introduced into the mix a new complication,” Barnes said.

“We need to make sure these people get the education and learn the skills they need to succeed,” he said. “Most municipalities don’t have funding to do those things. That needs to come from Washington or Raleigh.”
Think running smack-dab into reality will change the Observer's opinions? Hey, they're liberals - they NEVER learn.

Israel Eavesdropped on John Kerry in Mideast Talks

The Israelis spied on John Kerry? Now this is my idea of comical:

SPIEGEL has learned from reliable sources that Israeli intelligence eavesdropped on US Secretary of State John Kerry during Middle East peace negotiations. In addition to the Israelis, at least one other intelligence service also listened in as Kerry mediated last year between Israel, the Palestinians and the Arab states, several intelligence service sources told SPIEGEL. Revelations of the eavesdropping could further damage already tense relations between the US government and Israel.
If you can't spy on your "allies," who can you spy on? Too funny!

Obama: "We tortured people"

Uh-oh. As Temporary Dictator of the Exceptional Empire, Obama is supposed to do and NOT DO certain things. By admitting the U.S. tortures its victims,  he's gone and talked about Fight Club. That's number one on the "Don't do!" list.

Three in four Americans judge Iraq, Afghanistan wars "failures"

Of course the Neocon Wars were disasters. But then, it would take someone whose brain was totally addled by pro-war propaganda to think otherwise. I can almost hear the gnashing of Neocon dentures.

It is to laugh.

CIA goes full rogue

This is just too much - Senate staffers investigating CIA torture were in turn illegally spied on by the CIA. John Brennan, the CIA's top commissar, lied about the incident, but has now been caught in his lie.

The real scandal here is Obama's reaction:

Senate committee members Mark Udall, D-Colorado, and Martin Heinrich, D-New Mexico, suggested Brennan should step down. However, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said that President Obama thinks otherwise.

"[Brennan] currently is operating in a very difficult environment to ensure the safety of the American public. He is somebody who has a very difficult job, who does that job extraordinarily well," said Earnest.

And people wonder why the League of the South says D.C. is too corrupt to be reformed. Wow.

"Anti-Racist" Terrorism Caught on Video

The leftist thugs who attacked a meeting of peaceful diners at a Chicago-area restaurant last month clearly conspired to terrorize and hurt innocent people. Here's how one local report described the attack:

A horde of masked figures stormed the restaurant in a single-file line, wielding bats, claw hammers and metal batons — their presence announced when one shouted, “‘Hey, bitches, the ARA is going to f--- up this place.’ ”

With that, the shrouded thugs went on a rampage, clubbing diners at The Ashford House restaurant on May 19 in Tinley Park. They did not discriminate as to the targets of their violence, even pushing an 80-year-old woman to the ground, according to an eyewitness who’s a former Chicago police officer.

An 80-year-old woman? Yeah, you guys are real heroes.

Rather than feel shame for their cowardly attack on elderly people, the leftists and their supporters are proud of their actions. On their own web site, Anti-Racist Action proclaims the right to launch a "preemptive strike" against any who disagree with them (and the communist Worker's World agrees). After all, their victims were guilty of crimethink. Totalitarians cannot tolerate independent thought, and overt dissent must be eradicated.

Of course, these people are driven not by idealism, but by self-aggrandizement and power.

The SPLC will release a scathing denunciation of these thugs any minute now ... wait for it ...
