As Iran talks appear to be coming to a close with a successful agreement that would both lead to the lifting of international sanctions and restrictions that would prevent the country from obtaining nuclear weapons, most in the international community are relieved. Yet Republicans have teamed up with their counterparts in the Israeli political system to do everything they can to obstruct a deal – with tactics such as drafting new sanctions legislation and warning the Iranian leadership that the nuclear agreement will not outlast President Obama. But this past week Senator John McCain (R-AZ) ratcheted up this sabotage to a new level. During a floor speech he gave on March 24th, the senator suggested that Israel “go rogue” and that if they don't they may not survive the next 22 months of the Obama presidency. This is deadly serious. Netanyahu might take this as a green light for launching a war that could ignite the entire Middle East powderkeg. And remember: McCain is viewed as a "moderate" in modern-day America, and folks like me who oppose DC's interventions are considered "extremist." Being on the outside of this bloodthirsty regime is a badge of honor.

Jamie Foxx, that is. Certain citizens of the land of the 1st Amendment are hyperventilating over a joke Foxx told last night at the iHeartRadio Music Awards:
Foxx, the actor and musician who won an Oscar for his portrayal of Ray Charles, hosted the second annual awards show in Los Angeles. "We got some groundbreaking performances, here too, tonight," Foxx said. "We got Bruce Jenner, who will be doing some musical performances. He's doing a his-and-her duet all by himself."The CNN report tells us that all right-thinking Americans are outraged, yes, outraged! Which goes to show that these hair-trigger watchdogs of accepted thought not only despise free speech, but have no sense of humor. Get a life.
Charles Johnson, the chief upholder of all right and proper thought at Little Green Footballs, gushes over Apple CEO Tim Cook for condemning State "Religious Freedom" laws. Says Johnson: "Apple CEO Tim Cook drops the mic at the Washington Post. It’s rare to see the head of a massive corporation put himself on the line like this; good on ya, Tim." Johnson quotes Cook's statement:
Tim Cook: Pro-Discrimination ‘Religious Freedom’ Laws Are Dangerous. A wave of legislation, introduced in more than two dozen states, would allow people to discriminate against their neighbors. Some, such as the bill enacted in Indiana last week that drew a national outcry and one passed in Arkansas, say individuals can cite their personal religious beliefs to refuse service to a customer or resist a state nondiscrimination law. Others are more transparent in their effort to discriminate. Legislation being considered in Texas would strip the salaries and pensions of clerks who issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples — even if the Supreme Court strikes down Texas’ marriage ban later this year. In total, there are nearly 100 bills designed to enshrine discrimination in state law. I remember what it was like to grow up in the South in the 1960s and 1970s. Discrimination isn’t something that’s easy to oppose. It doesn’t always stare you in the face. It moves in the shadows. And sometimes it shrouds itself within the very laws meant to protect us. Our message, to people around the country and around the world, is this: Apple is open. Open to everyone, regardless of where they come from, what they look like, how they worship or who they love. Regardless of what the law might allow in Indiana or Arkansas, we will never tolerate discrimination. So -- the powerful and wealthy CEO of a global corporation parrots the opinions of the US Justice Department, the media, and academia, and THAT'S putting "himself on the line"? I'm so old, I remember when heroes stood up against big government and the mob. My, how times have changed.
Can you imagine the reaction at Huffington Post, CNN, and all the other liberal media if someone on the right called for nullifying elections and establishing military rule? But that's exactly what the left is clamoring for these days. William Barber, the president of the North Carolina NAACP, announced his support in 2008 and in 2015 for a Third Reconstruction. He's not alone. The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture recently hosted a panel discussion featuring Eric Foner, Darryl Pinckney, Mychal Denzel Smith, Isabel Wilkerson and Patricia J. Williams. You can watch the video, or just read a summary of what they advocate in an article featured by The Nation entitled Toward a Third Reconstruction. They agree that nothing less will advance the civil rights revolution. And the New York Times recently published Eric Foner's argument that a Third Reconstruction is needed to promote what he calls "political and economic democracy." If you're wondering what Foner means by that term, he means communism, as Tom DiLorenzo has noted:
Indeed, Foner is such an apologist for Soviet communism that he opposed the breakup of the Soviet Union and, naturally, invoked Abraham Lincoln as his reason. He railed against the secession movements in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Georgia in the early 1990s and urged Gorbachev to deal with them in the same manner that Lincoln dealt with the Southern secessionists.
In an editorial in the February 11, 1991 issue of The Nation magazine entitled "Lincoln's Lesson," Foner called the breakup of the Soviet Union, which at the time was being wildly cheered by freedom lovers everywhere, as "a crisis" that threatened the "laudable goal" of creating a system that demanded "overarching loyalty to the Soviet Union" while at the same time allowing separate republics to exist. No "leader of a powerful nation," Foner wrote, should allow such a thing as "the dismemberment of the Soviet Union."
He concluded that "The Civil War was a central step in the consolidation of national authority in the United States," which he of course views as a great event. One cannot adopt socialism – in the United States or anywhere else – without a highly centralized, monopolistic government. "The Union, Lincoln passionately believed, was a permanent government . . . and . . . Gorbachev would surely agree."
Of course, there's no need to worry that such a thing could happen -- after all, it's not like the US military is occupying American cities.

The media mindlessly echoes the feminist claim that one in five women will be sexually assaulted on campuses. Heather Mac Donald scrutinizes the numbers:
Detroit is America’s most violent city. Its violent crime rate for all four violent felonies—that’s rape, murder, aggravated assault, and robbery—is 2%. Its rape rate is 0.05%. A 20% crime rate for any crime, much less one as serious as rape, is virtually unheard of. Not even in Africa’s most brutal civil wars has anything been experienced in human history like a 20% crime rate. And yet despite a rape rate that is allegedly 400 times that of Detroit’s, sophisticated, highly educated baby boomer mothers are beating down the doors of campuses to try to get their daughters in.... If the rape epidemic was going on as claimed, we wouldn’t merely have rape administration Title IX bureaucracy sprouting up on campuses because there would be no more campuses. You would have had a massive exodus of girls from college campuses years ago, and a demand to create actually safe environments for student learning. Why hasn’t that happened? Because the campus rape epidemic does not exist.Reality is the best cure for leftist fantasies. Yet look what happened to Jeremiah True, who was kicked out of class at Reed College in Oregon because he questioned those same bogus statistics. Force and fraud are all leftists have, but they keep getting their way because they're not ashamed to use those weapons.

That's the conservative estimate from Physicians for Social Responsibility. There's simply no doubt more have died because the study does not include DC's undeclared wars in Yemen, Somalia, Libya, or Syria. Also, deaths among the 3 million Iraqi refugees displaced by the US invasion could not be counted, either. Keep those numbers in mind the next time some airhead leftist or Neocon yaps about DC's noble crusades to liberate the oppressed at home and abroad. In fact, the DC War Machine uses pretty lies to justify the consolidation and expansion of its power. These "crusades" fatten the politically connected while spreading death and misery. USA! USA!

The oh-so-politically correct Charlotte Observer just published an op-ed by two members of the Charlotte Immigration Integration Task Force. Stefan Latorre and Emily Zimmern co-authored the piece, entitled Charlotte, start now integrating immigrants. The message is direct: The Charlotte region is undergoing "seismic demographic shifts" which "translate into a time of dramatic change." Can't argue that point -- history is full of examples of the dramatic changes resulting from demographic shifts, including Lebanon, Kosovo, and Tibet. But Latorre and Zimmern assure us that the seismic demographic shift heading our way will bring nothing but prosperity. That shift is inevitable anyway, so we might as well enjoy it. Co-author Stefan Latorre will certainly benefit from more mass migration from Latin America. He's an immigration attorney born in Colombia and raised in Miami. He now has law offices in Charlotte; Monroe; Hickory; Greensboro; Columbia, South Carolina; and Jacksonville, Florida. So we know his views are not only well-informed, but totally without bias. Emily Zimmern is the executive director of the Levine Museum of the
No New South. She's also held leadership positions in the United Jewish Appeal. Interestingly, the UJA does not believe in open borders for Israel. In fact, it is dedicated to preserving Israel as a Jewish state, even if that involves the blockade and military assault on Gaza. The United Jewish Appeal's stance is so rigid, it's angered Jews who reject Israel's harsh measures:
Members of Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) gathered outside the offices of the United Jewish Appeal-Federation of Jewish Philanthropies in New York today, criticizing the group’s support for Israel’s policy towards Gaza, including the blockade of the coastal territory and the ongoing military assault. ... The JVP petition is also addressed to Jerry Silverman, the head of the umbrella group Jewish Federations of North America, which UJA is a part of. But when JVP members tried to set up a meeting with Silverman last week, the Federations had a blunt message: there would be no in-person meeting. The umbrella group said they refuse to be in “direct communication” with JVP. “Your ongoing support for boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel render any kind of direct communication, beyond this email, impossible,” said Federations’ Managing Director of Communications Rebecca Dinar in an e-mail to JVP. “If you alter those tactics, accept Israel as a Jewish State and explicitly condemned BDS we would be open to arranging a meeting.”I have no problem with Zimmern or anyone else defending Israel's right to protect its identity. But the hypocrisy and self-promotion of the co-authors of the Observer piece is troublesome.

From NC Fire:
It's Official; N.C. Rep. Harry Warren (R- Rowan County) introduces a bill to give driver permits to illegal aliens in N.C. The bill language reads, “TO ENSURE THAT CITIZENS AND LAWFULLY PRESENT ALIENS CAN TRAVEL SAFELY ON THE ROADS OF THIS STATE BY ENSURING THAT EVERY DRIVER ON THE ROADS OF THIS STATE HAS BEEN PROPERLY LICENSED OR PERMITTED.” Please feel free to contact these N.C. Representatives and tell them how you feel about their proposal. They will tell you, "that's simply not true", BUT - keep in mind, “lawfully present aliens” INCLUDES illegal aliens that qualify under the DACA deferred deportation program. They are considered “lawfully present” even though they have no “legal status”. Hold their feet to the fire. Don't let them get away with it!Notice this stab in the back is sponsored by Republicans. While Democrats can't wait for new clients for the welfare state, Republicans are slobbering at the prospect of cheap, exploitable labor. Who represents North Carolinians in the NC Legislature? I have no idea.
Southern Florida is a Cuban and Northeast colony, and is very different from the panhandle. I've heard natives refer to it as "LA": Lower Alabama. South Floridians resent the conservative climate of the Panhandle, and feel not enough attention is given to "global warming." The bottom line is that the division between South Florida and the Panhandle is intensifying:
The difference between South Beach and the Panhandle feel like different worlds sometimes, much less different states. After an unsuccessful attempt last year, South Florida is again trying to become the 51st state in the Union. The committee of South Miami passed a resolution to help open talks on creating a separate state. With the passing of the resolution, the committee calls for the Miami-Dade County League of Cities to investigate the details behind and reasons for creating a new state. ... For most Floridians, there is already a distinct line between the two parts of Florida. If the bottom half of the state were to secede, the border would be drawn just north of Hillsborough, Brevard, Orange, Polk and Pinellas counties.Secession: It's not just for conservatives -- or Southerners -- any more.

How's that multicultural adventure going? Peachy, that's how. Check out the good times going down in Minnesota between Somali immigrants and the locals:
Tensions remain high in St. Cloud following a walkout and protest by Somali students alleging a pattern of bullying and discrimination against them. Reports of a fight triggered a lockdown at St. Cloud Technical High School Friday, summoning police, sheriff's deputies and State Troopers to the same place more than 100 students and parents gathered on the lawn Wednesday to protest what they describe as an insufficient response by Tech teachers and administrators to their concerns. And some people worry Third-World immigrants aren't assimilating! The Somalis seem to fit in just fine -- they know how to act like an oppressed minority, how to make demands, and protest when their host country doesn't give them what they want fast enough. Rev. Al would be proud. What does the future hold for multicult USA? The same as above, only more of it -- as exotic, new ethnic groups accumulate enough numbers to make themselves heard and manipulate an oh-so-eager news media, they'll join the raucous chorus of petulant, always simmering minority groups. And Leviathan will laugh.
The rebel leader who fought for independence from Britain and then led the movement to secede from Malaysia has died. Lee Kuan Yew showed the world that the city-state model is not only possible, but possesses a number of distinct advantages over the megastate. The "Charging Lion" has left us. From the BBC:
Lee Kuan Yew, the statesman who transformed Singapore from a small port city into a wealthy global hub, has died at the age of 91. The city-state's prime minister for 31 years, he was widely respected as the architect of Singapore's prosperity. In an emotional televised address, his son Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong paid tribute to him. "He fought for our independence, built a nation where there was none, and made us proud to be Singaporeans. We won't see another man like him." Mr Lee oversaw Singapore's independence from Britain and separation from Malaysia. His death was announced early on Monday. He had been in hospital for several weeks with pneumonia and was on life support.Singapore seceded in reaction to widespread riots between the ethnic Chinese and Malays in the 1950s and 60s. Once again, we see how good fences make good neighbors.

Wow. Talk about going from the frying pan to the fire! An Hispanic man thought he could disguise himself with black spray paint:
A California man spray painted his face black "in an effort to camouflage himself" and evade police, a Madera Police Department spokesman told ABC News today. But the "camouflage was ineffective," the spokesman said. The suspect, Jose Espinoza, 23, was arrested on Saturday night facing charges of possession of stolen property and theft of a vehicle, the spokesman said. This is as dumb as the Bloods members in Lake Wylie, South Carolina, who killed a white couple last October to prevent them from testifying about a robbery. Like the Bloods, Mr. Espinoza wanted to cover up a petty crime by committing a far more serious crime. To try to avoid punishment for car theft, Espinoza put on blackface. Now he's REALLY in trouble.
Of course he did. Job number one for all federal employees is to boost the power of the federal government while undermining state authority, and to spur the Long March through the Institutions.

Sensationalism? Fanning racial strife? Who, us? But we're the news media, and EVERYONE knows we deal in the truth -- that is, THE TRUTH. So when a convicted murderer was found hanging from a bedsheet near a small Mississippi town, the focus wasn't on the facts, but on THE NARRATIVE (The South is eeeeevil). Here's a partial transcript from the CNN news video:
The ghosts of the Confederacy still loom over Port Gibson, Mississippi. So the news of a black man hanging in a tree stirs the dark past back to life. Just a short drive from this Confederate soldier memorial, 54 year old Otis Byrd was found hanging from this tree with a bedsheet around his neck.In case you missed the implication, CNN spells it out: "Is this a suicide? Or is it a lynching -- a shadow from the South's history of racial violence re-emerging?" Because only the South has had racial problems. (Ignore Watts, Crown Heights, and the Boston busing riots, since they weren't in the South, and therefore, do not count as racial problems. Those were -- civil unrest issues.) But once again, evidence -- which must be racist -- points toward suicide. Curses! Foiled again!

Better grab the barf bag. David Petraeus is banging the war drum:
Former CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus says the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant is not the biggest threat facing the United States in Iraq. “In fact, I would argue that the foremost threat to Iraq’s long-term stability and the broader regional equilibrium is not the Islamic State; rather, it is Shiite militias, many backed by — and some guided by — Iran,” Petraeus said in written comments to The Washington Post’s Beirut bureau chief, Liz Sly.So NOW Petraeus is worried about Iraq's "long-term stability"? Who's responsible for wrecking the country in the first place? Amazing. I wonder if Petraeus would've gotten off so easy for leaking classified documents if he'd refused to parrot AIPAC's talking points?

Our rulers and their outsourced PR departments (the media, the SPLC, academia) would have you believe we need more powerful, more centralized government to protect us from our own personal bogeyman, whether it's a bomb-making jihadist or (gasp!) a White Supremacist.
But facts are facts -- the record proves that the deadliest threat to humanity is big government. Don't believe it? Read the record for yourself and decide, provided compliments of the bionic mosquito:
According to one estimate, some 231 million people died in the 20th century due to “human decision.” Some of the lowlights of the century include:
· World War I: between 13 and 15 million
· The Armenian Genocide (1915): 1 million
· The Russian Civil War and subsequent Polish-Soviet conflict (1918-1922): 12.5 million
· The Mexican Revolution (1909-1916): 1 million
· The Spanish Civil War (1936-1939): 600 thousand
· Various colonial and other pre-1914 wars: 1.5 million
· World War 2: between 65 and 75 million (including German and Japanese concentration camps)
· Wars and conflicts between 1945 and 2000: 41 million
· USSR forced starvations, labor and concentration camps: 35 million
· North Korea: 2.4 million
· Various campaigns in China (1949-1975): 47 million
· Forcible enslavement in Congo (1900-1908): 4 million
These deaths are attributable to the decisions made by humans sitting in seats of government authority.
So the next time someone hyperventilates that we must yield more of our tax dollars or liberties to government bureaucracy so it can shield us from some threat, remind them of what the REAL threat to human life and liberty is.

Sociologist Robert Putnam studied diverse communities and was shocked at his own findings:
In the most diverse communities, neighbors trust one another about half as much as they do in the most homogenous settings. The study, the largest ever on civic engagement in America, found that virtually all measures of civic health are lower in more diverse settings. “The extent of the effect is shocking,” says Scott Page, a University of Michigan political scientist. ... "People living in ethnically diverse settings appear to 'hunker down' -- that is, to pull in like a turtle," Putnam writes. Was Putnam right? Late Tuesday night, a Burmese family in New Bern, North Carolina, was attacked by a young man with a knife. He killed three children and wounded the mother and another child. Read the reaction of the neighbors who heard the sirens wailing in the middle of the night:
The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Eh Lar Doh Htoo, also a Burmese immigrant, was arrested and charged. Authorities weren't sure of a motive and a language barrier is affecting the investigation. ... A neighbor who lives about five houses away said he heard sirens late Tuesday night and decided to stay inside. "We were scared. We just locked the door," said 23-year-old Yyoch Rmah, who moved to the U.S. from Vietnam in 2006. He said there were a lot of Burmese refugees in the neighborhood, and people from other countries. "People keep to themselves," he said. This is the world Soros, Zuckerberg, and the Koch brothers are imposing on us. Better hunker while the hunkering's good.
We should all really, really make the effort to read Ed Sebesta's blog. Judging by the ZERO comments for each post, no one else is reading it, so we Southerners, as the fortunate objects of Sebesta's bizarre obsession, should at least take an occasional peek at his strange assertions. You just never know what you'll see. In his latest jihad against Southern heritage, Sebesta wants the Historic Richmond Foundation to deny the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the United Daughters of the Confederacy use of the Monumental Church. He begins his letter to the Foundation by informing them they are hearing from an Important Person:
I am an investigative researcher regarding the neo-Confederate movement. I have had two books published by university presses and articles in peer-reviewed academic journals. I enclose a copy of my online curriculum vitae which is also online at http://templeofdemocracy.com/curriculum-vitae.html. Additionally there have been other articles published at Black Commentator also accessible from my online curriculum vitae. That's an effective way to get people's attention because it invokes the most important question of our age: "Have you read Ed Sebesta's curriculum vitae?" After softening up the Foundation with his idea of shock and awe, Sebesta tells them he has two "requests," which he presents as follows:
Do not allow the Sons of Confederate Veterans to use any of your facilities for their 2015 national convention or for any other activity either now or in the future. Do not allow any other neo-Confederate organization, including the United Daughters of the Confederacy, to use your facilities for their activities either now or in the future.Okay, Ed, when you make a request you say, "Would you please ..." But when you say "Do not ..." you're issuing an order. I suppose talking like a crown prince comes naturally to someone with a distinguished curriculum vitae. I wouldn't know. And before I forget, be sure to check out Sebesta's post on YET ANOTHER Lincoln worshiper who invokes The Great Liberator to promote the latest leftist cause, the "Black Lives Matter" movement. Not only is it short, it contains this dazzling and incomprehensible gem: Hopefully people who are concerned that human life matters will perceive historians who in their thinking Black lives don't matter. Wow. That, my friends, is what linguists would classify as a grammatical cowplop. See what you've been missing?

"In no part of the constitution is more wisdom to be found, than in the clause which confides the question of war and peace to the legislature, and not to the executive department. Beside the objection to such a mixture to heterogeneous powers, the trust and the temptation would be too great for any one man." - James Madison
Yet another ugly hate crime against Muslims, as reported by CNN:
A United Airlines flight made a U-turn in the sky after a passenger ran toward the cockpit screaming "jihad, jihad," according to a government official with direct knowledge of the incident. The pilots told air traffic controllers that after the passenger began acting violently, other passengers subdued him, according to LiveATC.net, which provides audio of air traffic control transmissions. "He ran forward towards the cockpit, and he is being restrained by passengers," one of the pilots said. "The cockpit is secure, and we would just like to return to the airport and have the authorities meet him."Isn't this disgraceful? After all, everyone knows that jihad means the "peaceful propagation" of the message of the prophet. Even George W. Bush assured us that Islam is a "religion of peace." The passengers who tackled the man who was clearly eager to share that message with the pilot and co-pilot need some cultural sensitivity training.

Another activist with good intentions gets assimilated by the Borg. From Antiwar:
The letter to Iran masterminded by uber-hawk Sen. Tom Cotton and signed by 47 Republican Senators, including most surprisingly Rand Paul, has caused quite a stir. The letter basically states that any agreement the President makes will be subject to congressional approval and should not be considered binding until then. Some leftists have accused those who signed it of treason, and claim they are in violation of the Logan Act. Hawkish interventionists, on the other hand, have praised the signers as heroes.Shows what happens when someone goes to DC. Instead of fixing it, they become part of it.

The bad news: A WBTV photographer whistled "Dixie" while working in the studio. Someone complained, and management can't grovel low enough:
Management held meetings this week in the WBTV (Channel 3) newsroom to address staff concerns about racial sensitivity. On Wednesday morning, a photographer was heard whistling in the newsroom the folk tune “Dixie,” whose origins date to the blackface minstrel shows of the 1850s before becoming an anthem for Southern forces in the Civil War. Several African American staffers were in earshot. On Thursday, two meetings were held with staffers and WBTV general manager Nick Simonette (send him an email) and news director Dennis Milligan. “We wanted the staff to know that we don’t tolerate things in the workplace that make people uncomfortable,” Milligan said. “We encourage people to come forward. I think it was handled in an appropriate way.”The good news: As of 3:06 PM, all the comments following the story are pro-Southern, and completely against the perpetually offended. Ha!

What could we expect from the Graham administration? For one thing, there would be a LOT more discipline in DC. A lot more. For starters, President Graham would reverse Obama's "budget cuts" to the Pentagon's bloated budget -- never mind that the current base military budget of $534 billion will be the largest in the history of the United States. The Pentagon's bottomless pit already receives 55% of all federal spending. But that wouldn't be enough for President Puss in Boots:
And here's the first thing I would do if I were president of the United States. I wouldn't let Congress leave town until we fix this. I would literally use the military to keep them in if I had to. We're not leaving town until we restore these defense cuts. We are not leaving town until we restore the intel cuts.Oh, goodie. A military dictatorship to force Congress to appropriate even more taxpayers' dollars for the Pentagon. That would also be a boon for the Democrats since the NAACP has called for a return to military rule to enforce even more aggressive Civil Rights laws. I can see Graham's campaign slogan now: Win-Win with Lindsey!
Not only do a solid majority of Americans express a record low opinion of government, they are now saying that the government is the biggest problem they face:
Government has been named the most important problem facing the country for four straight months and has widened its lead over the second-ranking issue of the economy compared to last month, a Gallup poll said. Eighteen percent of Americans named dissatisfaction with government the most important problem facing the country, followed by the economy at 11 percent and jobs at 10 percent. In February, government was still tops at 17 percent, but was followed closely by the economy at 16 percent, then healthcare at 10 percent. No wonder our handlers are trying to whip up a war with Russia, Syria, Iran, or all three. Gotta do something to bring the rubes back on board.
Okay, this is more diversity than I can handle. A man who fancies himself to be female and has taken the name Dawn Love took
his her its phone in for repairs, but the technicians discovered photos on the phone of people having sex with horses. Horses? Oh, Wilbur! What part of the word "neigh" do these men women perverts not understand?
Of course, at the rate we're descending, I'm sure "extreme animal porn" will be a "Jeopardy!" category by 2020.

The flag of the DC Empire represents "racism." This is an official pronouncement from university professors, so it must be true:
A group of university professors has signed a letter showing their solidarity with students who tried to ban the American flag at the University of California, Irvine – because they said Old Glory contributes to racism. “U.S. nationalism often contributes to racism and xenophobia, and that the paraphernalia of nationalism is in fact often used to intimidate,” read a letter obtained by the website Campus Reform. On March 3 the U.C. Irvine student government association voted 6-4-2 to remove Old Glory from a campus lobby for the sake of cultural inclusivity. This is big-bucks entertainment here! The truth is, despite its flowery rhetoric about liberating the oppressed, the DC Empire has a proven history of mass murder against brown people. And now the Yankees are revving up their engines for nifty, new wars against brown people in Syria and Iran. But it's for a noble cause, so it's okay -- just ask our PR guys. You can't help but laugh -- after all these years of the South being condemned for "racism," it was just a matter of time before the REAL mass murderers were exposed for what they are. Sweet.

In Midland, Michigan, a man goes into the ladies' locker room at Planet Fitness. A woman named Yvette Cormier alerts other women and complains to the management. Guess who gets kicked out? Guess again:
Cormier said an employee at the front desk told her that the individual identifies as a woman. After taking her complaints to Planet Fitness' corporate office, Cormier said she was told that the gym was a "no judgement zone" and they would not tell the individual in question to stay out of the women's locker room.... Cormier said she then got a call from Planet Fitness' corporate office telling her that she was violating their "no judgement" policy. She says they asked if she was going to stop talking to other women in the locker room and she said she would not. Cormier said the representative told her she was no longer welcome at the gym.Fortunately, I didn't go to the University of Michigan, so I can say that this is INSANE.
If you needed any more proof that our institutions of higher
learning indoctrination have mutated into enforcers of official doctrine, check out the latest campaign at the University of Michigan:
The University of Michigan has spent $16,000 on a campaign to get students to use “inclusive language” and stop using certain words and phrases. Around campus, posters give examples of the now verboten words like “crazy,” “insane,” “retarded,” “gay,” “tranny,” “gypped,” “illegal alien,” “fag,” “ghetto” and “raghead.”This is straight out of the Southern Poverty Law Center playbook. The SPLC lumps all dissidents together so that faith-based opposition to same-sex "marriage," border security activists, and nutcases with swastika neck tattoos are all branded as "extremists." According to the U of M commissars, those who use the purely descriptive term "illegal alien" are supposed to be as bad as a person who would use the obviously offensive term "raghead." There's only one way to view this campaign -- it's a movement to control thought, and the parties behind it know what they're doing. As George Orwell warned, "Political language... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind." That perfectly describes political correctness, an incipient totalitarian movement with NOTHING to back it up other than force and fraud.

The "long march through the institutions" trundles along as a national majority now shrugs at the notion of same-sex "marriage" (yes, I will continue to use quotes, no matter how many people misuse the term). As the map below shows, the South and West are the last holdouts. Dark blue shows a majority for, light blue indicates a small majority for, pink means a small majority against, and red indicates a majority against. Light blue and pink stripes mean you're in North Carolina. Augusto Del Noce

And the vandals who call themselves ISIS know it:
Archaeologists and cultural officials have expressed heartbreak and outrage about the bulldozing of the ancient Assyrian city of Nimrud in Iraq. Islamic State militants began demolishing the site on Thursday, Iraqi officials said. The UN cultural body's Iraq director, Alex Plathe, called it "another appalling attack on Iraq's heritage". "They are erasing our history," Iraqi archaeologist Dr Lamia al-Gailani told the BBC.ISIS is a particularly rabid form of Islam. Its founding goes back to 1740, when a "reformer" named Abd al-Wahhab decided his fellow Muslims had lost their theological purity through veneration of ancestors, which they expressed in historical monuments. These monuments, said al-Wahhab, were idols, which distracted the faithful from the true object of veneration, Allah and his Prophet. Mohammed had decreed that past civilizations were pagan, and that all tributes to them constituted blasphemy. But ISIS is the amateur hour compared to the increasingly totalitarian forces of imperial multiculturalism, as these headlines illustrate: Take Down South Carolina capitol's Confederate flag Washington and Lee University to remove Confederate flags * UPDATE* The next headline naturally follows from the first two: U. California students remove offensive American flag from 'inclusive' space If the pikers in ISIS really want to separate their subjects from their historical roots, leaving them with nothing to claim their loyalty other than their submission to Allah, they should learn from the pros here in the DC Empire. After all, Southern heritage is nothing more than veneration of those whose legacy is that of opposition to multiculturalism and government-enforced equality -- in other words, heretics from the One True Faith.

Forget the war propaganda of the armchair generals over at Americaneocon and Neo-Neocon. They have no idea what war is, imagining instead it's an opportunity to display one's patriotism. Captain Timothy Kudo of the US Marines does know a thing or two about war, and about the backgrounds and souls of those caught up in it. His observations about US intervention in Afghanistan should be required reading:
The longer I lived among the Afghans, the more I realized that neither the Taliban nor we were fighting for the reasons I expected. Despite the rhetoric I internalized from the newspapers back home about why we were in Afghanistan, I ended up fighting for different reasons once I got on the ground — a mix of loyalty to my Marines, habit and the urge to survive. The enemy fighters were often young men raised alongside poppy fields in small farms set up like latticework along the river. They must have been too young and too isolated to understand anything outside of their section of the valley, never mind something global like the 9/11 attacks. These villagers fought us because that’s what they always did when foreigners came to their village. Perhaps they just wanted to be left alone."Wanting to be left alone." That was what Jefferson Davis dreamed of. Too bad it was not meant to be. And what a pity too many today think "we" are obligated to bomb the rest of the world until it toes the DC line. The least we can do is to read all Captain Kudo has to tell us. His warning might keep us out of Syria and Ukraine.
Abbeville Review examined the crucial influence Southern thought and tradition played in Robert E. Howard's fiction. On the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's Second Inaugural, which all the Empire worshippers are celebrating, let's read an excerpt of a poem Howard wrote about ol' "Honest" Abe Lincoln. Enjoy! ABE LINCOLN Your only excuse, Abe Lincoln,
Is your undoubted sincerity.
Because of this, men should not curse you,
But what a damnable pity it is
That you were not drowned in a handy rain barrel
Before you decided
To save the nation
By butchering it.
Is your undoubted sincerity.
Because of this, men should not curse you,
But what a damnable pity it is
That you were not drowned in a handy rain barrel
Before you decided
To save the nation
By butchering it.

What to do with an embarrassment of riches? You ask donors to restrict their generosity -- at least for now, says Jeb Bush:
An unusual request has gone out to wealthy donors writing large checks to support former Florida governor Jeb Bush: Please don’t give more than $1 million right away. The requested limit, confirmed by multiple people familiar with the amount, may mark the first time that a presidential hopeful has sought to hold off supporters from contributing too much money. On a similar note, please observe the same guideline here: When you click that "Donate" button on the right side of the screen, please limit your donations to less than one million. Please.
A controversial measure to extend Civil Rights to LGBT residents was voted down in the Charlotte city council after an impassioned and raucous public meeting:
After Monday’s rejection of an expanded Charlotte ordinance for gay and transgender residents, LGBT activists said they would work to elect different City Council members this fall and try again for passage in the future. Meanwhile, it’s possible conservatives could try to solidify their victory by turning to the General Assembly, which could make it impossible for Charlotte or any other municipality to pass similar nondiscrimination rules. Before you start celebrating, however, you might want to recognize that this is a hollow victory. The only reason this official stamp of approval of the homosexual lifestyle was denied was because two liberal Democrats (oops, I repeated myself!) rejected the proposal because it didn't go far enough -- the original measure would've allowed the "transgendered" to use the bathroom facilities of their choice. Rather than compromise, they scuttled the whole thing. But as the headline says, the LGBT lobby, which receives backing from big business, will be back in November. And they'll come back yet again if necessary. So it's only a matter of time until the Charlotte city government blesses the entire LGBT agenda. Of course, the oh-so-politically-correct Charlotte Observer editorial board does not approve:
It’s an old colloquialism that Charlotteans aren’t accustomed to hearing about their city. It’s how someone describes a place that hasn’t kept up with other places. It’s how people perceive those who watch progress pass by. Today, Charlotte is that place. At least that’s how we might appear to anyone who sees the news that the Charlotte City Council failed Monday to pass an ordinance offering anti-discrimination protections to homosexuals and transgender people. They were protections that the LGBT community deserves – and that most other large cities have given. Charlotte didn’t. Today, we look like an old Southern town, not a New South city.Oh, my. "Southern"? Can't have that, can we? But yes, as they say, Charlotte's conservative, religious heritage did indeed make itself heard, though, as I pointed out above, it was a meaningless victory. Their unwillingness to compromise demonstrates that liberal Democrats understand Lenin's admonition that politics is all about "Who? Whom?" Who rules? And who gets ruled? The Civil Rights Revolution, which is always moving its goalposts, is an ever-expanding movement to centralize all power in the hands of a few. When a law is passed banning "discrimination," individual choice in certain matters is outlawed. As government claims control of more and more areas of our lives, freedom is steadily eroded. All according to plan.

The tide of secessionism continues to rise:
Catalonia is preparing its own tax system, and creating a network of foreign missions as it prepares for a snap regional vote on independence. Recently Spain’s top court ruled that the region’s symbolic referendum vote in November was unconstitutional. Nationalist leaders in the northeastern region have urged a snap local vote on the issue of independence on September 27, AFP reported. The DC ruling elite and their leftist goons want "one world," preferably under their thumb, but it ain't gonna happen.
