LA mayor vows to fight Trump administration attempt to strip ‘sanctuary city’ funding

Enforcing long-established immigration law is suddenly a flashpoint for new conflicts, and Trump's vow to deny federal funds to cities that openly defy the law is heating things up. Battle lines are forming between Anglo America and Hispanic America:

Responding to the latest warnings by U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions that Department of Justice funds will be withheld from sanctuary cities, Mayor Eric Garcetti said Monday he will fight efforts by the Trump administration to take away federal funding needed for law enforcement in Los Angeles.

Garcetti said that such actions would be unconstitutional, adding that the city’s policies are “designed to keep our residents safe.”

“Slashing funds for first-responders, for our port and airport, for counterterrorism, crime-fighting and community-building serves no one — not this city, not the federal government, not the American people,” he said. “We will fight to protect the safety and dignity of all Angelenos, and we will work closely with our representatives in Congress to make sure that Los Angeles does not go without federal resources that help protect millions of people every day.”
The way this is shaping up, it's sure to add more impetus to the growing Calexit movement. California has already sided with the sanctuary cities, and is even considering making the entire state a sanctuary for illegal aliens. Funny how liberals, who think their ideology is universal, keep proving that demographics is destiny without realizing it.

There was an interesting article on www.zerohedge.com for 3/28 about how the Left is coming to favor states rights and nullification. In classic cultural Marxist style they now view these options as okay for them to partake of--it's just wrong if we Southern folks do it.

Some twelve years ago, one of my former commanders - an expert in such things - observed that what was going on in California at the time was nothing less than an insurgency. It brought me up short, I can tell you, and my entire paradigm shifted!

Oh, how right he was!

It's looooooong past time that we all woke up to the fact that an insurgency has been going on throughout the US of A; I hope the solution can be peaceful, but I'm having serious doubts that some degree of bloodshed isn't on the horizon.

Intittlements will not end with a whimper.

Minorities have the numbers in the big cities to cause a lot of damage.

The UN will see it within their charter to send in peace keeping forces after the Pentagon divides.
